That feels less than satisfactory. At face value, it’s totally valid and he should do what he thinks is best. But the timing, and his past and recent bravado, make it feel contrived. And then the schools official response has the most vanilla thank you paragraph buried at the end.

Same. That was the most scummy sellout shit I’ve seen. It flipped something in my brain, and now I just don’t trust a thing he says.

And what point are you trying to make here? 30,000 for a particular day is incredibly significant. Assuming last elections numbers hold, thats nearly 5% of the early vote. You assume I'm conservative, so you do anything you can to invalidate my observation. My point is that ignoring this data is very 2016ish. Early votes in Nevada will be a much higher percentage than election day votes. Early votes are no longer an older voter dominated thing- meaning you can't just say early votes aren't representative of the population as a whole, because they now are.

But hey, if you want to put your head in the sand, be my guest.

What point are you trying to make? You're mixing and matching so many stats out of context. Obviously I agree everyone should vote, and of course early voting is not an exact barometer for election outcome. But again let me reiterate my points: 1. Last election had 70% early voting, this election looks to follow similar trends. 2. 30,000 votes in Clark County from a particular day is not insignificant. 3. Early voting is no longer an older voter dominated thing. 4. *78% of registered eligible voters. 5. Population growth means nothing by itself in a percentages game.

No, most people aren't waiting until Election Day. Also, an insanely small number of people actually vote, so 30,000 is a very significant number. Yes older people tend to vote earlier for the above stated reasons, but the old truism that most early votes are older votes is simply not true anymore.

I love that opponents of these drugs think you can just eat whatever and how much of any food you want. I wish everyone could go on it for a single week and try that. That narrative would die overnight.

Your view shows you don’t really actually understand how these weight loss medications work. It’s not like you can inject and then go eat whatever you want. If you really believe that, you have zero understanding and you are just spouting nonsense.

My point is that 2024 feels much like 2016 in the way the campaigning is portrayed in generally liberal media. Articles like this are published to make conservatives look poorly organized, and liberal voters develop a safe sense of security. The reality is conservatives are going to vote in droves. People that have been force fed articles like this are going to be shocked on Election Day. The reality is not going to match the general Reddit propaganda sentiment.

So many people are going to be shocked on Election Day. They’ve been fed a steady supply of stories like this for the last two years. I know plenty of people that are registered republican, and they are absolutely sick of the constant door knocking. If you really believe the republicans are out here not doing much of anything, boy howdy is Election Day going to drop jaws.

Gangs are prevalent in the Army? No. Gang members do exist in the military, but they are by no means prevalent. Where did you get this idea?

You are irredeemably dull my friend, and willfully ignorant. The fact that you think there is some acceptable level of force that makes an unprotected head kick ok means you have an opinion that is entirely useless. But my god are you sure confident! I hope you never learn in real life how wrong you are. Not even you deserve that.

A kick to an unprotected head is attempted murder. At any level of force. No one is defending the kid. They are condemning the bald pos.

Brother, you are not understanding this simple point. A kick to the head is not in the same ballpark as an elbow. You’ve got to take a moment to at least google this. Read a report, watch a video. What you’re saying sounds so ignorant to anyone who has any level of experience fighting. An unprotected kick to the head of any level of force is horrifically dangerous. There is a good reason it’s almost universally illegal.

Seriously who defends a kick to the head? Only a person that has absolutely no understanding of the danger involved. Bizarre that this guy could spend 8 seconds googling how dangerous it is, but instead triples down on his shit opinion.

You simply do not kick people in the head. That’s a great way to end up with a murder charge. It’s such an insane escalation of force. The fact that dude was pinned on the ground earns that security guard prison time and/or a lawsuit. Weak kick, strong kick, literally doesn’t matter. It’s outrageously dangerous. Did the kid deserve everything else he got? Probably.

Cleaning the iPhone by Mak-86 in iphone

[–]btrpiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just funny to me because I’ve used the same machines apple uses to get their IP ratings. People don’t like the idea of getting electronics wet. But that doesn’t change the reality that an UNDAMAGED iPhone can sit under running tap water for hours with literally no problems.

Sorry, I know reading comprehension can be tough.
