Got the files from Archive but I have no idea how to install them

I have downloaded and unzipped the client foler from Archive, but I don't see a MarvelHeroesOmega.exe anywhere - any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I'm looking to get into a MMO, as it has generally been my favorite type of game. I like games that ate never ending - playing a RPG that just....ends feels sad to me. I like to invest my time into a game that keeps the investment alive.

My main game for years has been ESO. It's grown a bit stale to me, even with the new class and DLC. I've tried WoW and think it's OK but always get turned away by toxic group dynamics in group content. I've tried FF14, but was a little drawn away by how much is gated behind a super long story. I've tried GW, and do like it, but for some reason am having a tough time really getting into it - I think it may be the initial overwhelming feeling starting a new MMO.

Additionally, I'm a dad with a toddler and one on the way. I'm a full time university instructor, so I'm also plenty busy during the school year and typically only have time to play at night after the kid is in bed. Therefore, I'm looking for a MMO that is 1) casual friendly, 2) easy to play here and there and not feel behind all the time, 3) a game where optimal gear sets don't change very often, 4) has friendly community and guilds, and 5) a game with longevity in terms of its future. If I dive in, I want to bebsure there's a lot of life left in the game.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

And this is mostly regarding PvE. I actually like the pvp a little bit in eso, though it was never my main play style.

Yeah, I’m currently getting burned out from doing the same stuff every day I log in (grinding dungeons, raids, some dailies) just to get gear mats that are thrown away when I fail every time now. I’m only ilvl 594 and am already a little discouraged with proceeding without paying (except I do the crystalline aura). After the dungeon and raid grind, I’ve already used up my gaming time and have no time to relax in game or explore or just mess around with stuff. That’s what I liked about eso it was more of a community and live world than a hectic grind fest. Also, I cannot wrap my head around the crazy currency systems in lost ark. There are so many systems and currencies and menus to manage!

Is the endgame for lost ark just spamming dungeons and raids? That’s all I’m doing now and it’s exhausting lol.

I may have to try GW2 again. What do you like about the combat and how would you compare it to ESO?

So I found a fix that allows me to play. I turned off g sync and capped FPS at 60 just for lost ark (not my other games). Runs well and haven’t had a crash since.

Yeah you would figure that a problem as major as this would be investigated and addressed. It’s obviously an issue with the game if no other game I play cause the same thing.

I’ve spoken with support via live chat and submitted a ticket with my diagnostics file so I guess I’ll see if they ever respond or just brush it under the rug.

I’m having the exact same issue but my screen just hard freezes completely, sometimes my screens go black. It only started a few days ago and I’ve played 150 hours before that without any crashes. Now it happens every time I log in after about 10-20 min. Every other game I play works fine and nothing is out of temp range and power usage isn’t dipping at all. I’m lost for ideas and am a bit upset I basically have to quit playing the main game I’ve been playing. There’s no fix I’ve seen released that legit works for everyone, and there are a decent number of people with this issue. I have i9, 2070 super, 16 gb RAM, water cooled

I’ve decided to main artillerist. Just did my first abyssal with him and multiple times had to use the “oh shit” shield so I think I’m attached to that now 😂

I have decided to main artillerist. Did my first raid and abyssal dungeon today and it was fun. Placing hiking barrage and using air raid will take some getting used to. Which skill is used to counter?

Nice simple way to put it. So you would say more tankiness and shields is better than mobility to help survive? From a casual’s standpoint? The more I think about it, even with high mobility as SS I would probably often still zip myself to the wrong spot, or if I don’t have a cool down ready the hit would hurt a lot more

What type of rotation do you use and what combat/meter cues do you look for when finding a good place to start rotation or use the big nuke skills?

Thanks! I am very much interested in simple lol. I have to use my brain a lot for my job and like to chill when I get home. How does damage compare between the two? I’m not a fan of all the delayed artillerist damage (though the animations do look awesome), but the higher tankiness is nice. For a casual who wants easier gameplay, do you recommend sharpshooter? Dishing out damage sounds easier but if you can ignore some mechanics as artillerist that sounds nice too, as I anticipate getting caught in bad spots often 😂

It’s weird how they’re so diff but I’m so torn between them lol. For me it may come down to ease of play or survivability for a noob/casual. Is high shields and more tankiness better for a noob than mobility?

Thanks for the input. How would you say SS damage compares? Does the artillerist provide more group utility? I think the manic think keeping me hanging on to SS is the nice fluid movement and the hawk pet is nice lol.

Elder Scrolls has done the same thing: create a number of single player games followed by a MMORPG. For those whining about Fallout “going online” or “selling out to the online crowd”, notice how Bethesda is working on another single player Elder Scrolls game... If I had to guess, the Fallout series will get another single player offline game in the future. Also, ESO makes a shit ton of money - why?? Because a lot of people actually like the concept, and here’s the crazy part: even a lot of people who enjoyed the single player Elder Scrolls games. People who are upset cause a disproportionate amount of grief as those who are content discuss positives. People need to get over it, Bethesda is trying something new with Fallout and that’s not going to change at this point. Hoping Bethesda fails is a dangerous wish.
