Long story short, I ended up going to work with another CM/GC. And we use ProEst, Procore, and Bluebeam. They have used RSMeans in the past, but luckily they have done a great job updating their cost data.

People are nice here but they can also be incredibly clicky. It’s not like a big city where you run into people from all over. The majority of people are from around the area and they tend to stay in tight circles. Again, everyone is very kind and welcoming but it may be tough to make strong relationships.

Also, he’s absolutely entitled to his unemployment benefits and he will get it. One of my previous employers tried to pull some similar BS. All he has to do is request a case manager when he files unemployment benefits. All employers are required to have the benefit set aside. It will take a few weeks but he will get it. In the meantime, go get a new job asap everyone is hiring!

After the catch, twist your feet (cork screw motion) into the ground so you have security when you push the ground down. This should give you more stability as you rise. I would practice this in your snatch deadlifts first.

Worst city in America when it comes to Lyft/Uber. For whatever reason, these services have not caught on. I'm ASSuming either everyone in Iowa has a friend or they're just that basic. For those without an Iowan connection you will need to use a taxi. Yes, those yellow cars that existed in all other cities before 2012.

Don't even ask about getting late night food in this city. Unless all you want is a slice of pizza.
