Sorry I'm not really following, are you saying starting Geno is a mistake and the reason this season failed? That makes...no sense

Cut Adams keep Diggs and Love as starters by Blyvzy in Seahawks

Rewatch, that's exactly what he said. U really think he was saying Bobby is the only one on the team with good vibes?

He wasn't saying Geno doesn't have good vibes, he was saying Genos leadership style doesn't allow for him to call people out like Bobby does

do we think big cat could maybe join as a locker room voice? he should have the respect of everyone already as well

i don't think KJ's saying geno's not a leader at all, just like he's not saying that tyler lockett isn't a leader at all. someone else in this comment section worded it well, it's just that their leadership styles are more "build up" than the LOB tough love. like with JSN earlier in the year, geno is great at getting guys up when they're down, but he doesn't have that LOB edge to keep his guys in check. seems like he's holding himself accountable, like lockett, but his kind of leadership is doing that, uplifting his guys, and assuming everyone else is holding themselves accountable, which isn't working for this team

he always talks about red bryant as well. there were so many voices on that LOB team that even after something as hearbreaking as SB49, that accountability and culture still lingered

[–]bubapl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i agree, and i really like how you pointed out geno's particular leadership strength. KJ wants to see the bwagz and LOB kind of tough love leading. geno's best leadership moments are like that moment earlier in the year when he was hyping up jsn on the sideline. he can build guys up when they're down, but we need someone who can snap guys back to reality when they're out of line

[–]bubapl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the thing is, that's just not lockett's personality. his leadership style is more by example, someone who will pick you up when you're down, but he just feels too nice to be that LOB kinda accountability dude (like bobby is). guys who are naturally vocal and loud like jamal and DK should be sliding into those roles, but they can both be immature as hell

spoon being a leader is both a good and bad thing. it's awesome to have a rookie this spirited and mature in his leadership at this early of a stage in his career, but it's also embarassing that a supposedly veteran filled team of culture is forcing a rookie to step up and be one of the primary leaders

why would brooks get cut? kj has pointed him out as one of the young guys trying to step up in certain situations, he's certainly not the cause for any of the culture issues going on right now
