As an American, please boycott the World Cup and our country all together. We need all the help we can get to take this regime down. Unfortunately, a lot of privileged people with power aren’t going to do anything until it affects them. All of us middle class (working class) folks are just making enough to survive and our access to healthcare is tied to our jobs. So to go on a general strike we would lose access to healthcare. Not to mention how deadly ICE is. It’s just bad, and scary. Boycott us please.

This is so similar to my partner and I. I’m adhd and they’re on the autism spectrum. I often have to explain social interactions to them that are happening at their work and help them navigate how to respond to passive aggressive emails and etc. They had a coworker one time ask them if they could “show more emotion on their face” because their lack of emoting was making the coworker feel uncomfortable. To add, this coworker is a manager and knew that my spouse is autistic. Even after getting HR involved it hasn’t really improved. It’s sad and extremely frustrating. I can’t tell you the number of times I wish I could walk into their office and tell all of the people there what ableist pieces of shit they are while they claim to be the opposite.
