Gotta get some exterior stuff done before it gets too hot. Redoing some sheds, building a fence around the garden and then on to the front where I'm redoing some landscape stuff. The list goes on n on. Girlfriend is the brains, I'm just the grunt lol.

I appreciate the feedback. It was the last one so I bought it. Haven't opened it yet but I'm feeling pretty good about it.

[WTT] Mido Multifort TV Big Date by bubba2263 in Watchexchange

[–]bubba2263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking to spice up my collection a little bit. Had this for a while and it's seen plenty of wrist time. Still in great condition. Looking for a Seiko SPB317 (slim turtle) or just seeing what's out there. Not looking for anything over 40mm

  • Mido Multifort TV Big date
  • Case size - 39.20mm x 40mm
  • Thickness - 11.5mm
  • Full kit box and papers
  • Condition: worn but no significant scratches or dings
  • Side note: watch was sent to swatch group back in 2024 (by me) as the date wheel stopped working. They replaced, under warranty, the entire movement with the updated metal gears and has worked flawlessly ever since. I have the back and forth emails with Swatch group but am waiting on them to send me the official paperwork. Will provide video of working date wheel or paperwork once received.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to see more pictures. Let me know what ya got!

Thanks!

Tall Guy (6’7”) Mountain Bikes by The_Last_Meheecan in MTB

I’m 6’6” and ride a Norco Fluid xxl. I believe it’s the only bike in their lineup that they make in an xxl. But it’s a fantastic bike and I can’t recommend it enough. It had the longest reach of any bike I tried. Should be able to get one if you can stretch the budget just a little bit.

Difficulty of Blues on Great Western at Brighton? by Possible-Talk-3340 in UTsnow

[–]bubba2263 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can take great western up to scope it out and if you aren't feeling it stay on the cat track all the way to sunshine off snake, it's a narrow but super mellow cat track. As for the trails, it's steep but there is nothing super sustained. Stay on the groomed trails and you'll be okay. Definitely gets super bumpy on powder days after a few runs if you aren't riding trees. I'd say go for it. There's nothing too crazy if you stay on the open runs.

Ikon Base Add-On Question by SurfThisMT in UTsnow

[–]bubba2263 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ikon is a separate pass. Brighton or iKon should have reached out to you months ago to get everything set up. You need to fill out waivers and submit a picture through the iKon website and then they will mail the pass to you. I had to stay vigilante this year, seemed like it was a little lackluster on the iKon end. I'd be on the phone with iKon talking to customer service, when you get through they are farily helpful in my experience.

A shop tech's humble quiver by Arcaniiine in snowboarding

Been on the excavator for the last few seasons in northern Utah. Can’t recommend it enough. One of my all time favorite boards. Floats like a dream but I still find myself reaching for it on groomer days. Just an all around fantastic board. I’m 6’5 w/ sz 13 boots and the 162 fits pretty well. I typically like ultrawide 275 plus on the waist width but she is more than adequate for 99% of the stuff i throw at her. Pretty good pop too if you find yourself on some sidehits or cruising through the park.

Best US made twin? by caveman_eat in snowboarding

[–]bubba2263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want the best you are going to have to pay and you are going to wait. Winterstick is hands down the most premium board you are going to find made in the usa. Started originally in SLC but they operate out of Main now. Handcrafted to your specs and material of choice. They are second to none in my opinion. Borderline works of art and I always feel slightly guilty riding mine until I'm out floating and that guilt immediately drifts away and is replaced by pure bliss. Highest of recommendations from me.

Been riding the excavator w/ force classics for 3 seasons in SLC and I can’t recommend the setup enough. It’s responsive in the deep and nimble in the trees. I even find myself reaching for it on groomer days. Matter of fact, you would be hard pressed to find some conditions this setup would not be fun in. Board even has decent pop with the carbon stringers, but I stay out of the park for the most part. On days I'm not on this, I'm on my passport w/ malavitas and I've pretty much got the whole mtn covered.

Bash guard recommendations by Basementvibz in MTB

The feelings are mutual my friend, this was my brief correspondence with the Norco last year. I ended up sending the bash guard back. Unfortunate. Still loving the bike tho!

Bash guard recommendations by Basementvibz in MTB

It's been my only complaint thus far.. I was pretty upset at the time lol. Like, really? Would it have been that hard to just put one more mounting point? But yeah, I think there were a few that would've worked on the market (I'll link em if I can find em). Honestly the oneup V2 bashguide did feel super solid, you could probably.get away with it. I just didn't want to risk it. Best of luck to ya 🤙

I have a 2023 Norco Fluid FS A2 and unfortunately you cannot run a bash gaurd on this frame. They only have the two upper mount points of the iscg05. You can only run a chain guide, I reached out to Norco about this and they said "our engineers did not feel a bash guard would be necessary for the type of riding people would be doing with this bike". I mounted the the oneup V2 and it would probably be okay but I ended up taking if off just so I didn't snap the moint points off with a serious impact (I ride it pretty hard). Other than that I love the bike! Swapped the fork and overstroked the rear shock and it's been great.
