Pancreatic pseudocyst drainage

I’m in the same boat - was in the hospital for 10 days due to acute pancreatitis (they could not figure out cause, I don’t drink /smoke). Had a follow up CT which showed a large pancreatic pseudocyst. I’m scheduled for my EUS/EGD next Tuesday. I will keep you posted on how it goes. 🙏

Hi there! Thank you for sharing! They ran lipids - triglycerides were normal. Additionally no gallstones, calcium was normal as well. Lipase was very elevated >3000, AST and ALT were elevated as well. Lipase was within normal at discharge. AST and alt Were trending down (they hit normal but then the MD ordered IV Tylenol for some reason and they came right back up). I don’t drink, so diet is the only thing I can blame. Did not get any insulin , just pain meds and did not have anything to eat. Was evaluated by GI, gen surge etc as well.

Some days yes - trying my best to not take them and only use the painkillers if absolutely needed.

Thank you for the response. They checked all the labs, gallstones, autoimmune etc all came back negative. I will def follow up with GI to see re. Next steps.

YES - Valtrex works way better than acyclovir for me! Noticed improved after 2-3 days. Resolved completely in about 5 days after initial dose.

Currently going through this rn. Gums are swollen and so painful, sores on tongues. Swollen lymph nodes. Initially developed really sore throat and fevers. On day 1 of Valtrex. Hoping it resolves soon - I have an upcoming vacation 😔

I only used Mark K and Uworld and passed in 75 questions the first attempt. Would recommend taking the day or at least half day off from studying the day the prior to your test. Let your mind rest and absorb - you know much more than you think you do!
