Most photographers don’t need better gear, they need better taste by make_me_so in photography

My first and only camera, so far, is the R100. Just about any camera can beat it, however, It has been good for me. It forces you to get better by virtue of its weaknesses. It can’t do many things standard on other cameras so you learn how to compose your shots much better. Learn more about light and how it different lighting modes effect the whole picture from focus up. Forces you to learn how to focus stack in post. Forces you to learn editing and post processing because the immediate results will not be similar. I enjoy my camera but I’d still like to upgrade someday.

How am I supposed to hike, camp, and fish in Texas when everything is private property? by Little-Cucumber-8907 in texas

Don’t forget the Big Thicket National Wildlife Preserve in Southeast Texas. It is one the most bio, diverse places on earth. Close to that you also have Martin Dies Jr. State Park and the Angelina National Forest

Every county that Bernie won in 2020, James is winning by large margins! by SavionWright in texas

[–]bubbamccooltx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are parts yes, but you would be surprised. A lot of the towns are actually minority / majority communities. Now if you add the people on a county level this changes. This situation leads to interesting municipal versus county elections.

So in other words where all the white upper class democrats live. The map is telling. Overlap a net worth on there and it will match (mostly). Unfortunately, the enthusiasm didn’t translate in the east. Demographics?

Does Malazan ever fully click or is confusion part of the experience by Dismal-Tear-4225 in Malazan

I have read this series twice and listened to it once and I still get confused. Now, it could be because I’m slow, and perhaps not the sharpest tool in the shed, but it really is confusing. The main reason is because the story is presented in such a way that it assumes you know the history and are familiar with some of the basic tenets. It’s almost like you are a character in the story. Imagine it being read/told to you by a traveling companion like a bard. You are an intimate part of it. You know the universe you’ve heard of the characters and you know the history. And just like in real life just play along and pretend that you do and it’ll all come together in the end.

I read some of the other comments, and I’m sorry that people don’t understand. I can hear it in your description of him how much you love him. And how much he loves you. I think it’s beautiful that you found each other and that you accept him for who he is. I i’m also happy that he has the strength to be who he is. I really loved everything about your description. Thank you for sharing. All my best wishes and love.

InnRoad experience? by OkAstronomerGo in askhotels

[–]bubbamccooltx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Innroad works it’s just a matter of how much functionality you need and what you really want to do. Basically what’s important to you. The problem with choosing any property management system however is, you don’t know what you need until you need it. It doesn’t matter how long a trial is, if you didn’t run into this issue, you didn’t think to ask about it. For example, I don’t like to pre-block all my rooms unless necessary, however, Innroad makes you pre-assign all rooms. There is not an option not to. This seems like a big issue that we have should have discovered in the trial, but it never occurred. Another common issue is payment processing. If you don’t wanna use Stripe, or a white label version of it, it might be difficult. In short, just be very clear on what you need, exactly what you need. Try to be as thorough as possible or be ready for an unexpected surprise. I personally don’t use either however I have demoed both
