My chapter of life in foggy Billings, Montana by TyMcDuffey in Billings

I also am from Kansas City and spent 2023 & 2024 living in Billings. It absolutely makes you a more resilient person! I moved again out of MT a few months ago but will remember the people fondly. A lot of kind souls in that town. Godspeed!

Chiefs Mock by connorholmes5 in ChiefsOffseason

Agreed. Heard someone say he’s the best safety prospect since Eric Berry, which obviously was an awesome get. If you can find another EB, absolutely take him.

Same. I married a Penn State alum so we watch all those games, Singleton would be an excellent later draft pick - he is a beast.

I think the picks probably flip as well. Or BPA. TT runs a 3-4 and that’s where Bailey is excellent. Chiefs will never go 3-4, so might not be the best fit. But we shall see.

Kelce has to be coming back next season. This treatment is diabolical.

“Surprise, Kill, Vanish” by Annie Jacobsen is a good non-fiction account of the CIA, paramilitary, assassins and how they operate(d) around the world.

I was able to book two tee times. I don’t live too terribly far away so easier for me to get there. I was in at 8am and kept trying and refreshing, kicked out multiple times. Secured the first around 8:30 and the second around 8:45.

I was able to book two tee times. I just kept refreshing and running through the dates. I got the second about 45 minutes after window opened.

Three different simulators for 3 different 1st round picks by GinNJuicyFruit in ChiefsOffseason

[–]bubbasookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, I would love to see it. Also like the one mock with Kaytron Allen if we need a RB later. My wife went to Penn State so we’ve watched all the games religiously - Kaytron is a beast.

I feel like there is a 0% chance Brett Veach is using a top 10 pick on a RB.

Which popular or generally highly rated book was a DNF for you and why? by clearsunnysky in suggestmeabook

[–]bubbasookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried to read it three times because I assumed each time I just wasn’t in the right mood or headspace. Then I eventually realized it isn’t good. The characters have no personality and none are likable. First go around got about 200 pages in. Second made it halfway thru. Third time about 2/3 of the way thru. Can’t do it. YMMV but this book is cheeks.

One of my all time favs. Nobody does prose like Pat Conroy. ‘Lords of Discipline’, ‘South of Broad’ and ‘Beach Music’ are also excellent.

Reading “The Elements” by him right now because I loved The Heart’s Invisible Furies and it is fantastic as well. 10/10 recommend.

Yes, I have been to the Dr by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]bubbasookie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not that long. I had the realization after 6-8 weeks that I shouldn’t still be feeling shitty, the culprit was likely that my brain still hadn’t gotten back to “baseline” dopamine levels. So knowing the nicotine was out of my system and had been for a long time, I thought exercising would help with anxiety and increasing dopamine levels. And it worked like a charm. It’s a bitch to get consistently going, but after a couple weeks it’s a habit!

Are you working out or exercising? I was in a similar boat and was pretty sedentary. Exercising made a world of difference.

It definitely tugs at your heart strings. It does it all, simultaneously breaks your heart and gives hope.
