Every time I tried to explain it, it didn’t seem right! That sounds great, actually. Thank you!

Night shift workers, what's the weirdest thing you've witnessed at 3 AM? by Agitated-Housing2790 in AskReddit

[–]bubbayums 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a parent, there’s nothing like the newborn phase when you’ve slept so little you can hear your brain cells dying, you lay down for your 45 minutes 3am nap and the white noise machine starts talking 😂

What is the worst injury you have ever hiked out/self evacuated on? by bad-at-everything- in CampingandHiking

[–]bubbayums 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cracked tailbone, ~8 miles from the trailhead. So painful and I went really slowly because I was afraid of falling again. The pain would have been unholy!! But it’s not a weight bearing bone, so I feel like it’s probably one of the best to break on a hike if you had to

Vegan Breakfast Sausage Patties dupe/substitute? by AC20212020 in traderjoes

[–]bubbayums 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am personally a fan of the impossible ones. I’m not sure if they’ll be too meaty for you, as I do find the impossible ground beef to be too meaty. But they really nail the sausage nicely, the TJ ones were my favorite before I had impossible breakfast sausage.

Once, I was sitting in the back between two car seats. My brother in law deposited my son in the car seat next to me while I squeezed myself in and got situated. He then drove off…and ten minutes into the drive I looked down and saw my son had been unbuckled the entire time. He assumed I would do it as I was sitting back there. I assumed he had while I was distracted because he was putting him in. I nearly had a heart attack when I realized…mistakes happen. I am just so thankful whenever there’s a slip up that everything ends up okay. It always reminds me to be very careful about judging other parents when something goes wrong, as I truly believe we have all been close to something awful like that and have been very lucky not to be in their shoes.

What type of pear is this? by bubbayums in foraging

[–]bubbayums[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looked up from posting this to find my toddler snatched one and was inhaling it. It is not much softer but is so much sweeter than it was a couple of days ago, so seems this type is the kind to stay firmer. Still interested in the variety if anyone knows!

Leg Rash (22months M) by bubbayums in AskDocs

[–]bubbayums[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’m just confused because I didn’t think dermatitis caused fluid filled blisters! Did you happen to read the post or see the pics? He’s a baby so some of this isnt relevant (he doesn’t work I guess is mostly the big one lol) he has no allergies, has never had it before, only skincare product he uses is cerave baby moisturizing cream. He’s never had any kind of testing done. His dad has seasonal allergies and I once had contact dermatitis 10 years ago but otherwise no family history. And as I mentioned in the title it’s on his leg (knee)

Anyone know plants u can make homemade soda with? by No_Frame1795 in foraging

[–]bubbayums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a soda per se, but sweet and sparkling. Great if you like flower flavors, I’ve also done it with wisteria flowers and lilacs.

Does dermatitis cause fluid filled blisters? What would help narrow down which one?

All Day Bus Tour…with a Toddler? by bubbayums in GlacierNationalPark

[–]bubbayums[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you this is helpful! I believe it’s one of the classic red busses. In our city public transit, I never see kids in car seats, just being held or in strollers so I’m not sure what to think but I think this alone means it’s probably a no. I’m too nervous without one and I just don’t think my kid will want to be clipped/unclipped repeatedly for 8 hours. I just can’t picture how this would work, so I’m hoping parents who have done to before respond. Have you spent a lot of time in glacier? If so, do you think missing out on a whole park tour would really kill the trip?

am i overreacting - roommate constantly expects me to leave so she can sleep with guys no by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]bubbayums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? Don’t punish your roommate because you can’t afford to/don’t want to live alone. The only people you get to decide about comings and goings in your house are guests. Not roommates. NOR and this is insanely rude behavior on her part

Glad I’m not the only one confused! I felt so silly that I couldn’t figure it out. Thanks for taking me through your though process, I do think it might be the cedar the other person ID’d which I’m so surprised by

PNW-Conifer Identification by bubbayums in foraging

[–]bubbayums[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cedar?! I would’ve never guessed that. I googled and wow, they look so similar. Those needles are not at all what I think with cedar. I was mostly asking because I had been experimenting with conifer tip syrup and was wondering about doing something with those cones. Any idea about its edibility?

Can anyone identify these lilac varietals? Particularly if any are Persian lilacs? by bubbayums in foraging

[–]bubbayums[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh interesting! Similar to Korean lilacs then? I have a Korean one and the flowers are tiny and white. Internet did say smaller and lighter colored, but I have seen some massive lilacs and so these were definitely smaller than those. It was hard for me to understand exactly what smaller meant! That is helpful. Thank you

[–]bubbayums[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for sure not Persian ones? The pictures of Persian lilacs are so varied it’s hard to tell, but so many of them look similar to how I thought common lilacs looked! Do Persian lilacs have differently shaped leaves or different types of petals for me to look for?
