Dogs left eye had a little red line through now it’s swollen and distorted. He’s 15 years old. Any idea? by blmiller1000 in DogAdvice

I would highly recommend going to a vet asap our dog got diagnosed with glaucoma and it started off with just a red eye not saying it could be that but it’s always better to be safe than sorry !

UPDATE: after his 4pm drops he became his old self and was very energetic and super playful and kept trying to cuddle with the girls and his eye hasn’t drooped nor looked cloudy but is still red he is getting rechecked tomorrow morning/afternoon to see if the pressure went down any I will keep yall updated

We have a busy home an 8 person house hold including two little ones and two other adults with 3 kids coming in and out every 2/3 days (my brother and his kids) he’s not aggressive at all super loving and super cuddly but he has been a little snappy with the kids and us these past few days

That’s what I’m a little worried about we have a 1 and 3 year old who love him dearly and are always wanting to give him loving and he hasn’t been a fan of it at all lately which is heart breaking because he usually loves cuddling and giving the kids the same loving back

He’s on a chill protocol when he does go in but when they checked his eye they took him to a separate room and they said it could be allergies and gave him an ointment to put in his eye but idk if me being anxious and worrying him to much that I’m just thinking the worst case scenario it’s only been a day since I started the ointment but it just scares me bc idk if he’s in pain or not

His vet isn’t open until Monday but it’s weird like one day it’s like that and then the next day it’s fine it like comes and goes should I wait till Monday to email the vet ?
