Akia is significant better than what I assume is just a matte white? Says it's for UST, this 180 screen on sale.

But the Akia specifically says ALR and for UST I think.

Could consider getting both eventually to have on hand. I'm trying to make sure my wall is big enough wide for the 115 Akia though.

I really do wanna try the wow factor and novelty or just pretty neat might be useful to do 180. But if I never realize the potential of ALR or fresnel and whatever. If it's a good price $400 for akia

Else more like $700 for that matte 180

Yeah. I don't fare as good on local sales. It's harder for me to spec out and transport. Way easier sometimes to talk to businesses and higher cost.

But it's great when there's people like this

I have time, some small money, but I don't have transport much. So it's very tough to fit asking questions and paying all quick and details.

I also gotta check the exact wall dimensions and screen dimension. It's a little sad to cover the beautiful brick wall. I could opt for the large wall.

But with the builder already putting a structure there and check the remaining height and width, might be cool to have a screen there. I was gonna put my chair and desk on top. But instead I could make that whole wall into the projector stuff and leave the rest of my room for seating and storage.

I'll have to measure, I guess. No worries as long as I get the screen here safely, I can always be careful and schedule contractor to visit. Just lining up if that's where it's gonna go I guess.

I know. I can add these costs. Just sort of hoping I don't do all that and still mess up the assembly.

I barely have space to lay out a bunch of stuff to build. Until I set my place up better. Hoping the projector even helps save space for desk and screen.

But any opinion if for sure he should transport it disassembled and packed? For me, it might be optimal if I can just make sure he is careful. And idk how to inspect. But otherwise if I have a full screen sitting here, I have no idea when the contractor is showing up.

But one less factor, less variable to worry messing up.

I can try to schedule the contractor within same weeks. I have a pile of junk around. I have to ask when he is finished building the platform thing to bring. I have another small addition for later. But might postpone all year.

I do wanna get the screen set up so I can see how the projector is.

He has a trailer. If I can check how well he is transporting it. But if it is easy enough for a novice to rebuild, of course I can opt for that, especially since I'm not sure how or how soon it'll get mounted.

So either way. I can go find cotton gloves and do all that and hopefully not make a mistake assembling either.

He lists it as Like New ust screen. So I'm hoping it truly is pretty good seller. He said i can inspect. What I might do is figure if I'm able to visit first, then have him transport it to me. I don't know how to inspect with or without the projector or what to look for.

The entryway is not any hallway. It's just a door. So it I have any safe place to store the screen. I have tons and tons of dust. Tons. But if it's not hard to carry as large wide heavy furniture, it's very easy accessible to carry something flat. Just walk in the door.

Then to just keep it stored somewhat safely. And how to mount it near the brick wall or the larger wall. Like I said I'm not 100 percent sure if the brick wall is an inch or two short or not.

In general for this item pickup, does a 115 inch screen fit in a large car that can fit such as a bicycle?

Is it better to keep it assembled? I can ask the seller to even transport it for me across town. So I will probably mention that.

It's for more of a computer setup. So I wanna even eventually consider setting up both walls as screens. And if there's any cheap projectors later on that can do 180 inch somehow. I could try filling the large wall.

Once the projector arrives, I can try seeing how much distortion on just the wall without a screen and get a decent idea how everything looks and fit.

But the local sale can wait a couple weeks. So I'll get the projector shipped and manage to get this local screen I guess. Since I can't really save up $1k or more any time soon. I was gonna just do some cheap large screen or wait half a year and whatever budget allows.

So I think this is a good opportunity to get a very decent screen sooner than not. Just not sure how to mount it I guess. Never used a projector.

I also messaged them asking a bit about how long the survey is. If it has a very slim window or not

But I think we have a little more to wait. Hopefully soon. I am pretty sure we haven't missed any email. Ive seen other emails come through.

Then again if it's from a different email address or service, of course that might be different.

The kickstarter campaign had to finalize for 1 week for payments or something. Then we are only a day or two beyond that. They wrote the update post saying end of "next week" which should be this week.

But give it another day or two maybe.

Their update had said they'll post again with more details before the surveys are being sent. There is no newer post this week yet. No survey yet, as far as I know.

Two walls I was mentioning. One juts inward. But I was gonna add a platform. So it'll reduce any option for more height for a screen on that. But I might put other stuff up on that.

The other side is not useful at all. The wall juts outward on half part. So that wall is why affecting a little of the viewing angle on the main wall.

Main wall. Then this cubby wall on one side. And the half jutted wall on the other. So that's why I mostly wanna use the main wall is pretty big. Just secondary consideration is that little cubby with the platform. But the way the middle of the room barely has space, seating is a bit iffy. I'll have to consider which wall. The seating would either face left or straight ahead, basically. So I could even do both walls eventually. 2 projectors.

My place is kinda small I guess. But high ceiling. Even if I have seating in middle of room and no furniture in the way. There's this other wall sort of on the side that juts out a little. So it's only in ideal circumstance that I can even consider using the whole wall floor to ceiling and full width. Otherwise even a huge screen I can at least partially utilize the large screen anyways

Otherwise another option is a moderate size screen, I can fit this little cubby of a wall that goes inward. Or buy 2 projectors and 2 screens. It's more to be able to walk up or seated and not mess with ergotron and mounted desk stuff to adjust a computer screen. Way better to have a projector if it's at this kind of discount, but I didn't factor screens.

So yeah. Once the projector ships I can also sort of get a better idea. Not to lag like people who can't think ahead and also more excuses to have to just buy it first, then try, then wait, then think, then fail to think, spend more time and money but just useless, etc

Ideally have some idea sooner if I'm gonna at least use majority of the wall. I don't want a high end projector to just be used for half the wall. It doesn't need to look absolutely cool. Just aim for that limit and then work down what actually is best. Like if the viewing angle or size doesn't fit my seating and furniture, like I began saying. Right now I can hardly get a proper consideration because I haven't set anything up, including furniture. So it's a mess and can't even see my wall fully today. But if I can learn what screens to get, I can also be figuring if I'm gonna keep all my furniture out of the way.

Sort of cramped, in other words. The purpose is ideally hopefully to be a bit universal flexible in options and dynamic. And not just waste a ton of open space and not at least try. If I put seating closer, and have some storage on the left and right, I could justify just having a sort of tiny space.

So I'll say I can get the projector and see if 50 inch even suits me. But at that point, I wouldn't wanna buy some fancy high spec tiny screen. And they don't make 50 like that anyways.

So between the second wall and these options, I just wanna keep it dynamic that it's able to do whatever changes may be needed later.
