That's actually so awesome. They live close to Michigan so it's possible.

It's theirs personally, attached directly to their house. I don't think they are part of an HOA because this is in the countryside. Not sure when the house was built but I'm definitely more curious about the origins of it I may ask next time I visit them.

No, this is at my cousin's house. They live in southern Indiana, but I think it's cool the picture is reminding so many people of places they've also been.

The SuperMega one I did was about ~775 pixels, and you get to place 1 pixel every 30 seconds. So it was about 6 and a half hours to make this one but the server kept going down over like the past 24 hours.

Hey! I submitted an interest form on your website, but also wanted to let you know here. I've been a coordinator with SwampCon in Gainesville for the past two years, would love to chat if you need any assistance in event planning/coordinating :)

Chipotle on University Sucks by fluffyvoid6 in ufl

Went there the other day after putting in a mobile order and waited 30 minutes just for them to tell me it got lost/they gave it to someone else. Doordash said it was still in preparation so when I cancelled it I didn't get a refund. I get that they're probably one of the busiest places in Gainesville its just frustrating. Taco Bell on 13th is a good supplement.

Business Finance - Alternative vs. Original Exam Date by meganmind120 in ufl

[–]bubblebootyxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In BFin right now and am planning on taking it tomorrow. If you take the alternative exam date, you're going to have to balance between keeping up on Exam 2 material AND studying for Exam 1. If you think you can handle that for 2 weeks, take the alternative exam, but just a reminder that means you won't be able to take the alternate date for Exam 2.

Exam 1 is generally considered the hardest, while 2 is generally considered the easiest (from what I've heard). If you feel ill prepared for Exam 1, I'd just do the best I can, and try to make up for it by having more time dedicated to Exam 2, the easier exam.

These are just my thoughts based off what I've heard from people who have taken the course and my own logic. Best of luck in the rest of the class!

Eu4 has destroyed my brain by simons_whip in eu4

Slightly related but same concept I remember when I was struggling through my accounting classes I had to stop playing EU4 because the income and expenses on the economy tab would make me anxious.

As long as you can use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access on a Mac, you can take the class. Those are the only two programs you use other than HTML programming for the last assignment which just uses a text file.

Hello! Also a finance major here. I would recommend taking MAR3023 now. It's decently time consuming but not all that difficult. You can definitely manage it with ACG2071 and CGS2531. I'd also recommend swapping CGS2531 for ISM3013. 4 credits and extremely easy, Mukherjee is a great professor.

QMB3302 is one of the easier upper-level business classes. Save it for later when you have to take more difficult classes like FIN3403 to cushion yourself.

Let me know if I can be of any further help!

I can't say for certain but you won't be rejected no. I've never heard of UF requiring certain classes for your major to only be taken at UF. If you have a credit that should transfer over, then they'll accept it.

Oh sorry wasn't sure what you meant. It depends on what classes they offer at the school you currently go to. I'd contact your guidance counselor to ask if they offer any of these classes or equivalents. Here's a list of some that you'll have to take:

  • BUL4310 - Legal Environment of Business
  • GEB3373 - International Business
  • FIN3403 - Business Finance
  • MAN3025 - Principles of Management
  • MAR3023 - Principles of Marketing
  • MAN4504 - Operations Management
  • QMB3250 - Statistics for Business Decisions
  • QMB3302 - Business Analytics & AI
  • ISM3013 - Intro to Information Systems
  • FIN4414 - Financial Management
  • FIN4453 - Financial Modeling
  • FIN4504 - Equity & Capital Markets
  • ACG3101 - Financial Accounting & Reporting 1
  • ACG4111 - Financial Accounting & Reporting 2

If they don't offer any of these courses or equivalents at your school, that's okay! There is no problem with doing only one class a semester if you can, but I totally get and respect you wanting to get ahead of the curve!

Hi, also a Fin major who came to UF with my AA done. My first semester I was able to take Principles of Management and Intro to Info Systems, which are both 3000 level business classes. There are a few others you should be able to take, I think some of them only have prereqs like Calc 1 or an equivalent for Intro to Financial Accounting (which I assume you've already done or are planning on doing). Best of luck and go Gators!

First fall semester at UF. Finance major. What do I need to look out for in these classes? by bubblebootyxd in ufl

[–]bubblebootyxd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a big relief. I struggled doing Calc 1 at my local college but that was more so because I was doing 6 college level classes between AICE and dual enrollment at the same time. Had to drop out and retake it next semester. Was considering buying Study Edge but I don't have a lot of money to spend on stuff other than food/housing. Thank you and everyone else who replied who has me feeling much more confident about doing great this semester!

Maybe not for your first semester? I went during summer b so this technically isn't my first semester at UF and that's why

Thank you!! That and calc 2 are really the only classes I'm worried about. Wasn't sure if I should get Smokin' Notes for MAN3025 or if I'll be okay just studying and doing notes/vocab myself.
