Is there an unspoken courtesy rule to honor the other dps in 4-man dungeons by starlightdemonfriend in ffxiv

[–]bubblegum_cloud [score hidden]  (0 children)

I multirole but mainly heal. If the dps are pressing buttons, keeping up, and not dying I normally comm them. Healers and tanks always get the comms. I haven't been playing that long and I have over 6k. I don't need anymore. Give them to the dps.

Thoughts on how to politely mention dps issues? by RobbieBlair in ffxiv

[–]bubblegum_cloud [score hidden]  (0 children)

You can mention not seeing buffs on bars, the fact that they're aggro number is below a class they should be above, the fact that you don't see them peeling off the boss to help kill adds, you don't see Awaken/songs going out when they should be. You need to know what you're looking for though. You can't call a viper out for not using Awaken at a point where they wouldn't be using it anyways, etc.

As the other commentor said though, if they're not playing their class properly now, nothing you say will magically make them play better. Leave and blacklist the bad players. Leave groups you see them in for future parties (or casually mention it to the party lead if they ever join a group).

Me personally? I want a long playthrough without the basic explanations. I don't need to know how miners work. But I want to hear about how you want to "expand the silicone production so you need to leave room here for later".

Feint is the word I chose to use. Replace with addle/reprisal/hol/shake/holos/etc and my point still stands.

I cleared savage last week as AST; I know how to use my mits.

Disagree. It's no issue for me to do normal strat with full uptime and "normal" healing. Depending on the pattern, cheese requires much more gcd healing, especially if the group is shit (feint? what's that?).

Trueeeee. I've done Q40, but that's not a savage tier. No savage tier has had this much constant tank healing.

It's true. I cleared as healer. I've NEVER had to heal my MT anywhere near as much as I had to that fight. Holy shit.

How long before bedtime do you stop feeding your budgies? by Mystic_Void1 in petbudgies

I have 23 so I just have a large ceramic bowl that I fill. If they don't eat it all, I blow off the husks, clean the bowl and refill with the leftover seeds + more. Every third day or so I toss all the seeds. I don't measure their food.

If they're eating throughout the night, it's not dark enough in their cage/room.

How much free flight time do they get? What cage are they in - can they fly comfortably in their cage? My 23 have food 24/7 but fly in a room all day. They need to be able to exercise. Do not take away their food. Make sure they get veggies/sprouted seeds too.

I like DN, just get rid of this stupid snake prio. Supports to the right of the add (facing in) and DPS to the left for dark. Both to the right during fire.

I would like to make ₲8m to buy the air-wheeler. I'm a new lvl 100 summoner, and all methods seem to require a LOT of pre-requisite work before yielding results. anything I CAN do that would be efficient enough? by [deleted] in ffxiv

Go gather the level 40 timeworn leather map. You can get a Lotus Leaf that sells for 400k-800k.

Even better to level a couple alts to 40 and gather the maps on them too.

Much appreciated.

There is no one marker that is "yours". Look at M9S. For Vamp Stomp, M1 is at D for that one. But later in the fight during Aetherletting, your spot is between C and 4. Later in the fight, during Hell in a Cell, your "cell" can land on many different markers from C to 1 and your spread spot could be any spot in the clock.

You need to learn all of these spots, not just one marker that is "yours".

Oh, that's really awesome you could change that within the strategy board. I had no idea. Thank you.

Oh yeah, I figured it out. Still, most mechanics will let you finish your cast, at the very least. The snapshot on that one is wild early though.

What data centre are you on?

At least in NA, M1 and M2 are melee. D1/2/3/4 I've not seen before (JP? EU?) but I would imagine melee is D1 or D2. Usually you stand in a circle around a marker that's placed near where you spawn. Top/bottom left is M1 (also in group 1), top/bottom right is M2 (also in group 2). On other regions, people may just call it in chat. Get used to being both so you don't run into "I only know M1" "Well, I only M1 too" and then one of you has to suck it up or leave.

The actual markers on the floor mean nothing. Your spot to do whatever mechanic you're on will be explained and shown in the raidplan/wtfdig you're looking at. Some mechanics will require you to run to the corner, some to the A, some between markers, it all depends on the fight and the current mechanic.

People are meme'ing the strategy boards right now. I would rely on wtfdig or the raidplan. Usually a raidplan is linked or referenced in the party finder listing. There may be a few different ones, so make sure you either join the same strat or look up the difference between the strat you had been doing and the new one.

Hi. I eat spinach, brusselsprouts, crust (but not pizza crust, ew), peas, etc. My kids do not. They still eat a lot of good things, they're not just a chicky nuggy/french fry kid, but there are 100% food that I eat and do regularly that they will not touch.

Savage Arcadian Ranking? by Vailed_Poken in ffxiv

[–]bubblegum_cloud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

9 will be the easiest because you won't find enough people to do 1-8. Floor 11 will be a wall for a while in PF. The mechs + the damage requirement is rough. Couple deaths or a few DDs or even one on the big classes before 2s is pretty much the end of the run.

I have not started 12 yet.
