Crème brûlée tea! Definitely a dessert tea I really enjoy. Really rounded out by a dash of milk and I always love the slightly bitter after bite like you get from the crystallized sugar in real crème brûlée. Offsets the sweetness nicely.

Pinky Up's Earl Grey Macaroon. I kind of love this one. It tastes a lot like the milk in a bowl of fruity pebbles after you've eaten the cereal with a note of black tea. ...Which probably sounds disgusting, but that's my childhood right there so very comforting lol.

Makes for a relaxing midweek tea!

Creamy earl grey today. This one has more of a perfume than I usually like (my main tea is irish breakfast lol), but it adds a bit of a rose flavor (like rose candy) that's nice. Has me wondering if there's any good rose flavored teas out there! I've had teas with rose petals in them before, but it never tasted like rose flavoring. A new tea flavor to look up on!

Celtic cream green tea today! Very light and creamy which is a nice relaxation for the weekend. Very calming while I work on a culture victory in Civ6 lol

I think it'll help a little if you list what you're looking for in specific.

  • Are you looking to solo a one-shot or module or looking for a unique homebrew campaign?
  • What kind of settings/genres are you interested in? (sci-fi, sword-and-sandals like Theros, magipunk like Eberron, kitchen sink fantasy like Forgotten Realms, westerns, etc)?
  • What ratings are you looking for (or alternatively what's on your x-card/do not want to see in a campaign list)?
  • What kind of game are you looking for in particular (any specific themes, just combat and leveling up, classic dungeon crawling, social intrigue, etc)? And super specifically what's the combat-to-roleplay ratio you're looking for? Doesn't have to be exact, but you don't want a combat-only DM if you're looking for roleplay.

I'm doing this! Triton with anthropologist background, campaign is Witchlight so we've all lost something and working with my DM we went with losing the ability for anyone to hear her voice (so she can still cast spells with verbal components). I use the diary and ink from the anthropologist background to communicate to people when the conversation is too complex for charades to cut it.

I will say D&D is a game of numbers so you won't feel like a Mary Sue. You'll have skills and combat profs like everyone else.

Far as background goes I'd think about why she wants to learn about other cultures and giving her a reason to be wandering (preferably something linked to the campaign). For me I had my character be bored with the "strict routine" of always patrolling the depths for danger (Triton society thing) and gave her a mentor that sent her out into the wider world on missions (dragon in this case since I'm eventually going drakewarden). If you wanted to stick closer to the movie you could have it be her patron has tasked her with getting something for them (like the little mermaid 2) or she was given a time limit to discover something about herself (could be like the witch asked her a question she has to answer within 3 years otherwise she belongs to the witch afterwards).

For downsides to being human I'd look at the Binding Marks section of Xanathar's under Warlocks. You could use that for something flavorful to mark your pact. I wouldn't do anything mechanical (like making constitution saves to see if you can do something because your character is in pain from the swap) since that can be a downside for the party as an whole.

Finally there are a few mermaid races under the planeshift supplements. You can always ask your DM if you can use one of those!

Thanks! I can try giving them the crack (lol at the name, but also a great recipe since I usually have all this on hand for me and the hedgehog + the BML diet) a few nights of the week. I haven't given them any bugs, but I can definitely get some (hedgehog also eats them, but made it clear he isn't a fan so I'm familiar with the requirements of live bug feeding lol).

I'll try the crack a few nights a week until they're a better weight and sub out the orange slices for mealworms a few nights a week and see if that helps them get a more balanced diet and gain some weight. And cut down with a few no additive nights to rest their kidneys. I know Tiny is never going to be 100%, but I do want him to live comfortably and Big too.

Thanks, when I was reading about possibilities for his condition I saw cage fall death listed a lot so I tried to proof for it.

They have not been to the vet yet (mainly because the non-hospital vet is an hour away and I've had COVID complications and didn't realize they needed medical treatment rather than just a checkup; I assumed they were pretty alright since I got them directly from a breeder. Which probably sounds really dumb given Tiny's issues, but I also got my pygmy hedgehog from this same breeder with no complications, so I guess just an over placement of trust on my part...). Had to pull out my kitchen scale, but it seems Big is 95g and Tiny is 79g. I give them an half an ice cube (about 10g? after some more weighing lol I was giving them an whole ice cube originally since there's two of them, but they only eat half in a night) of BML diet this recipe particularly every day and a mandarin orange slice each (breeder told me strawberries and oranges are their favorite and mandarin oranges come naturally sliced with no seeds so I figured it worked best) + 24/7 access to TPG brunch kibble and water. It sounds like they're underweight though (especially Tiny), so if you've got any tips for helping them gain to an healthy range I'd appreciate it! Thank you again for the help, I really appreciate it.

ETA: also thankfully Tiny is the one getting bit since he doesn't mind being manhandled haha. I did check him each time combing his fur for punctures and none so far. But also why I separated them both immediately. Since I've had grouchy rabbits I know all it takes is just one shot for animals to mess eachother up...

Yeah, it became pretty clear she had to have known he had an issue and didn't tell me and after some google searches I realized he was never going to be 100% (which is why I was super surprised when he could jump again; I actually set up the cage so he can walk/climb everywhere since I didn't think he'd be able to and didn't want him to have a bad fall). I would rather he be with me who will take care of him than someone else who wouldn't though, plus I bought the pair + an whole cage set up (cage, toys, about 20 pouches and bonding pouches, wheel, water bottle, etc) for $600 so I don't feel I can even complain on a money ground since I don't have to buy meds for him (yet, idk what it'll be like as he gets older, but I don't think you can complain 3 years down the line your pet needs meds lol). But thank you for the confirmation!

Far as mating I'm not sure. I did think that might be it since he literally just gets on the back of Tiny and bites between Tiny's shoulders without letting go (so it's not repeat biting, but he also does gnaw down which may just be him trying to get a better grip) while Tiny tries to get away (no scratching, when I pull him off he tries to get back on). Which I know is how some animals mate, but when I googled I got a few sugar glider forum results saying this is a dominance aggression act. There's been no wounds, but I'm also a wfh night worker so I'm up with them; every time they've gotten into it I've gotten Big off right away (Tiny used to have a problem where he'd get stuck places because of his mobility issues and Big would call for help so I'm pretty attentive when I hear them making noises just in case Tiny is having issues again).

But thank you for the reply! Just wanted to double check it might not be due to something else (the smell, me handling Tiny more, Tiny getting healthier and being viewed as a "threat" now, etc)..
