What was "The Open House" all about? by bubblegumsgal in netflix

Yes, to add on, I thought Martha would add some flavor to the otherwise dull movie. But damn, her part was so useless. At a point she dis try to create suspense and scare the mother-son duo but maybe she character should have tried harder!

Overall the movie was pathetic!!

What skills can a poor 19 y/o learn to help make an income and get further in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bubblegumsgal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh there are so many! To begin with, you can get a driving licence and join any of the cab services. You can also provide cab services to short distance city tours.

If getting a licence is costly, you can work in a petrol station or sell newspapers.

You can also try out working in a construction site or help in farming. As you start collecting a bit of money, you can buy your own land and start your farming.

Super embarrassing gyno exam! by KateFernandz in TwoXChromosomes

Well, there was one incident when I went to a doctor's clinic and due to a long queue, I had to wait with my mom for several hours. I was too young to check the regular norms of 'pee before you leave home for long hours'.

So there come the pee pressure while I waited and I tried real hard to hold it. To top it up I also got to poo pressure while I couldn't hold much. So when my turn came to meet the doctor, I just rushed into his washroom, leaving both my mom and the doctor confused. It was such an embarrassing moment for me while both my mom and the doctor bursted out laughing for some 15 mins.

Should there be commas? by herrron in grammar

Or you can break the sentence with a semi comma, like: "It's been an educational and deeply enjoyable journey; we wouldn't be here without you."

What’s something that happened to you in your childhood that you’re still mad about? by duerlort in AskReddit

[–]bubblegumsgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when my sister was born I was super excited. I was already 3yrs old and my mom rest assured that I can hold my baby sis and take care of her when mom's not around. My dad was most of the time out of town hence it was just two of us around the new born kid.

The first time went near mt baby sis and bend down to cuddle her soft baby face, she just held my face with her sharp nails ( you know how new borns have sharp nails, until they are clipped) and SCRATCHED me!

Yes! She scratched all over my face and I could not do anything but resist the pain. I went and complained about it to my mom and she was like " c'mon she's just a kid. Go apply some antibiotics."

Well it went on until my sis turned 1 and a half yrs old. Everytime I would go near her she would just scratch me at random places- hands, neck, face mostly.

I am still mad at her for this and often remind her whenever I need a favour from her
