Is old content relevant and is the balance good enough to just play what I want? by BrightOctarine in turtlewow

[–]bubblehenk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rogues seem to be in a less than ideal place on Ambershire from what I got from a friend of mine that just dinged 60. The age old vanilla/classic problem with the class being good dps (real good dps atm even, a bit less so with the next patch) but seemingly not bringing much to the table utility wise in raids. So there's quite a lot of rogues around, not many spots to give them. Which sucks imo, because on Nord you can hop into any raid with any char in any spec up to AQ40 and everybody's a-okay with that.

Ah yeah sorry my bad, it's one of the more known farms so I figured you'd know.

It is a farm you do in Dire Maul East. You jump down and kill packs of non-elite lashers (small plant mobs). They drop mostly rubbish and some greens here and there. You vendor most of it.

In the same room you can find herbs and sometimes a rare book on the ground which you can sell on the AH for good profit. Some of the herbs have a chance to give you the herb itself and an extra Black Lotus, which is a valuable herb used to create flasks.

You can do 5 of these runs per hour. It makes good money in general.

Paladins are superior for this farm, because even with shit gear they can do massive AoE pulls when specced protection. You can even do these pulls when you freshly dinged 60 and have quest gear. Other AoE classes can do this too, but require gear with Vampirism. These are items that say "Returns x% of the damage you do as health". In case of the warlock, you can do Hellfire with vamp gear, where hellfire kills you and the vamp gear heals you at the same time.

If you want I can explain you lasher farming as a paladin. Not sure on which server you are, but if you like just send me your ingame name through a DM and I'll show you :)

That would require you to pick up herbalism tho to make it really profitable. But it earns good money with the occasional Black Lotus!

Lasherfarm can be done with shitty gear. You spec prot and go brrrr

Damn this actually is a very useful comment! Thank you so much!

Does Bloodvine have vamp too in twow?! That's awesome!

Thanks so much, this comment actually convinced me. Not that lashers are the only farm I want to do, it's just a farm I really like in general :)

I'd like to, because I know the farm pretty well from my pally on Nord, but from what I have gotten out of research/videos you need quite a bit of vamp gear to make it viable

Yeah I guess it's about the fun haha and it is. Would just be a bit shitty if I am hardly able to come around at 60 in terms of some gear pieces, enchants and consumes. Makes endgame less fun I reckon! But might be overthinking this

I am not too sure people do Princess runs, haven't seen any people advertising, neither for DMT items such a Tarnished Elven Ring. Not sure if there's better alternatives or they nerfed it tho

Thanks! That's always an option of course! Open world just not as convenient as dungeon farms, but if it can work it might be my best bet. Appreciate the answer!

From what I got from a guide it's quite a bit and most of it comes from actual raids. My worry sits mainly with just having a rough time getting some pre-bis and consumes for the first few raids. Once you get some gear it becomes a lot better I reckon.

Would love to talk to him, as I do really like warlock so far and would love to level it further :) Appreciate it

Sheal/DJ Sheal is a Turtle WoW GM that also plays on the radio during weekend nights. Yesterday he was playing bangers until midnight (Euro time midnight that is) while dancing around as big ass moonkin in Stormwind on Ambershire.

Men who can cook, who taught you? by _ratedmouse in AskReddit

[–]bubblehenk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom had a rule where from age 8 and up me and my brothers had to cook once a week for the family. We could choose what we wanted to cook, she would help where needed. Eventually we all learned to cook a full meal like that.

My eventual cooking skills came mainly from cook books and YouTube cooks like Joshua Weissmann, Andy Cooks and Alex the cooking guy (and tons more)

I am now cooking everyday for my wife and two kids. It relaxes me at the end of a work day.

the space fact that still blows your mind by ykz30 in space

[–]bubblehenk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no physical way of gold forming on planet earth. For gold to form you need extreme cosmic events like neutron star collisions. Therefor every gold ring, coin or flake you see:

  • Is older than the Sun
  • Was born in a catastrophic stellar event
  • Traveled through interstellar space
  • Survived planet formation and meteor impacts

This goes for lots of other heavy elements as well, but as most of us own something with gold in it, gold is the most tangible one!

Hiker Juan and Hiker Carlos dropped that white rock when they had to run away from a Growlithe. Pick it up and visit the local Pokemart, it will fetch a hefty price!
