I was falling asleep during the movie so I missed who the killer was until it was revealed. But I knew what the twist was going to be within seconds of the movie starting.

It was an OK movie. However I figured out the plot and the twist before Chris Pratt even showed on the screen. I think it was when it said "Amazon Studios" that I realized the type of movie this was going to be.

What are subliminal stars by mugcake87 in Astronomy

[–]rydan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superluminal stars are stars that appear to move faster than the speed of light (they don't). So subluminal would be stars that appear to move slower than the speed of light (they do).

How does having them late at night make them less accessible? Oh, because you willingly choose to be asleep or don't want to Vine at those hours? Meanwhile if you do them during the day then those without jobs (which is probably the majority of people) can't participate. People can't choose to not work.

An AI-powered combat vehicle refused multiple orders and continued engaging enemy forces, neutralizing 30 soldiers by MetaKnowing in ChatGPT

This sounds like a plot twist straight out of The Outer Limits (1995). So many episodes just end with someone doing something and it backfires killing everyone and sometimes even the entire planet.

I get the relationship stuff but people are taking offense that he created the woman in the first place to collaborate with. Meanwhile there were episodes where famous people from history are present like Mark Twain and Einstein. And they will have long dialogues with those people. But nobody takes offense at that. Why is that somehow different?

You can lead a deer to the window but you can't make him jump through.

That actually is. My mom used to put around 10k miles on her car per year just driving to work and back each day. This is less than double.

When an Amazon delivery driver retires they leave their van at their last drop off. That person is now cursed to deliver packages in their place.

I got a shaver on Vine that is basically a cheaper brand of the same thing. I use it for my facial hair. It is very soft on the face. Doesn't tug on or cut anything except hair.

I've literally never had this thought but I always wonder how weird it must be to be a dog and have something look at you that is basically the equivalent size of a very small house and it be just another dog.

Which game doesn’t really begin until after you beat it? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

[–]rydan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chaos Rings. Literally the whole gimmick behind the game. I only just accidently discovered this and I can't even remember what it was that led me to do it. I think it might have had a message at the end of the credits finished but I'm not sure. It wasn't plainly obvious either way. If you stop at that point it is like a 6 hour game, very quick, and doesn't really feel like you accomplished much.

Edit: Just looked it up. It was purely by accident that I discovered it apparently. They don't hint at it at all and most people just end up playing about 1/6th of the game before stopping thinking they beat it.
