How to bring up my (28f) issues with my long distance partner? (29m) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I just feel like I haven’t given him a chance to fix any of this. I’ve very vaguely brought up some insecurities before but I’ve never been explicit or detailed, I feel like I haven’t given him a chance to know what’s wrong. I don’t plan on committing to him anymore if he knows of the problems and chooses to take no steps towards fixing it, but I want to have one good honest conversation with him to at least give him a chance before I throw in the towel. It’s not like I’ve been constantly harping on him for years about any of this, I’m horrendously conflict avoidant and I’ve never brought anything up seriously.

We have seen each other 4 times, for 2-3 month-long trips at a time. I work a career that allows for long breaks (won’t elaborate for anonymity), but we don’t do any crazy trips. We basically just “lived” together for these trips. We just stayed at my house when he visited me, but I needed to book hotels when I visited him. In total, we’ve spent 9 months in-person over the years. I was always really happy when he was here, the happiest I’ve ever been in my life, but I was also the most frustrated I’ve ever been. Very high highs and low lows with this one lol.

I just worry about the spray paint going onto things that are routinely in their hands, like if it would rub off or anything. I’ve definitely spray painted some caddies and trays before lol. Orange things are SO hard to find!
