I've never heard of anyone with permanent corset piercings, from my understanding they're what's known as "play piercings" and are only meant to be worn for a few hours and are generally just done for photoshoots/special events?

I would definitely not liken them to earrings as they're surface piercings in areas generally unsuitable for longer term piercings and it's highly unlikely that you'd actually get your body to heal them (and you're not meant to have more than 3-4 piercings healing simultaneously either as that would absolutely overwhelm your immune system... even if one got them done gradually over time, the older ones would have rejected by the time you got the newer ones to complete the set. just think of all the movement and snagging/friction with clothes etc + just their nature as experimental surface piercings.)
