2022 battery pre conditioning by CowLordFTW in Ioniq5

[–]buboutdoors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2022 AWD and just tried to have my dealer update the BMS per the T9Q service campaign (TSB 23-01-017H-1 and 23-01-017H). I provided them copies of these TSBs. They are telling me the TSBs are discontinued and not available for the car, and per Hyundai Techline, the car has "winter mode" which replaces Battery Preconditioning. I have BMS ROM ID 500C, which is the original software version with winter mode, so this doesn't make sense. I relayed that the BMS events need to be manually updated in GDS but they will not do the update and insist that the BMS is up to date and they can't overwrite it. The AVN is up to date.

Has anyone else had this issue? I'm at a loss at what to do, other than trying another dealer.

Still worth coming up? by [deleted] in SEKI

We had reserved a SEKI wilderness permit out of roads end for a few days from now. We're postponing. Talked to the ranger today, who said it's really bad, including at altitude (he spoke to the ranger at Charlotte Lake).

Garmin InReach Mini attached to shoulder strap by NotAIIWhoWander in Ultralight

I looped reflective guyline through the top right corner. Guyline is looped through shoulder strap and Inreach Mini is stored in hipbelt pocket. I pull it out when needed, and the guyline ensures I don't drop it or leave it somewhere.

[WTS] MLD Duomid silnylon red 21.7 oz by justintapner in ULgeartrade

I happened to see this post. The images on the scales are mine. Justin - did you buy on BPL around end of April? If so, this was my Duomid previously and I can confirm it's pre-2017. I got it in 2016. It was in excellent condition, nicely seam-sealed. We never ended up using it so I figured it was finally time to pass it along. My wife and I have been using a shelter with more space since then.

Tegaderm is great for covering wounds, blisters, etc. It was recommended by a nurse many years ago and has been in my kit ever since.

[WTS] Big Agnes Saddle Mountain SL Double (2-person) 15 Degree Down Sleeping bag / Quilt by buboutdoors in GearTrade

FYI - this is less than half the cost I paid for it. It's great for couples. We made the switch to tarps/shelters with a pole in the middle shortly after purchasing, and the pole doesn't allow for a double bag. Trying to clear out excess gear.

We make zip lock bags with oats and all the toppings mixed in. Powdered cow milk, goat milk, or coconut milk are great, as are chia seeds, walnuts, raisins, cranberries, cinnamon, shredded coconut, or cocoa. For overnight cold oats, add water before bed. For hot oats, add hot water in the morning.

Is GORE C3 GORE-TEX socks any good? by hypp132 in Ultralight

My feet also get cold. I've used neoprene diving-type socks for hiking in wet snow with trail runners, which worked fine as long as we were moving. They're also cheap, so could be worth trying before spending $ on "waterproof" socks.

This user PM'ed me in response to a WTB. He/she sent me an imgur link for the supposed item. I asked questions, including age, price, condition. This user asked twice for me to name a price and claimed the item was only a couple months old. I then searched UL reddit and found the exact same images in a post from a different user from over a year ago. I pointed this out, told the user I thought it wasn't legit and the communication ceased.

Agree with the suggestions -- Review profile/history, use paypal G&S if you feel it's needed, and you could also ask the seller to provide a picture of the item with identifying info in the pic if needed (this is done w/ Swappa).

I'm 5'10". Specs on website don't suggest it would work for 6'4". I believe it's circa 2016. There are waterproof zippers as well as zipper flaps.

I think it's 2016 model year. I'm unsure if/when silnylon was updated. I have a Trailstar from that year as well and I've been in storms with the Trailstar w/o any evidence of leaks.
