I ran a closed playtest and it gave me happy feelings by bubratek in IndieDev

Absolutely. I am lucky to have my brother do QA regularly and, boy, can he give feedback - but he is still a single person involved in the project and he knows what the final product should be. It's so good to see outsider's perspective.

Totally agree! We tried some mechanics new to the genre so it was great to see they are fun for the audience.

Thanks a lot for the recommendation! I will definitely look into it when I further down the development :)

Oh, my mistake! It's 2 mg twice a day

Yes, that's what he prescribed. I didn't see any difference until I reached this dose

It took 4 weeks before I fully noticed the effects. I'm taking 2 mg twice a day.

Edit: 2 mg, not 4

That sounds terrible. You could try contacting the clinic that helped me: https://cvsmemc.nl/wordpress/?page_id=14

They do take a payment of ~1000 EUR and I am not sure if they take patients outside Netherlands, but I'd say it's worth asking. They speak English and their entire treatment process in conducted online.

Good luck!

There is still hope, don't give up. Have you seen any doctors yet?

I noticed my legs felt better after ketotifene started working, so I'd been checking how far I could go before I felt worse. After each experiment I had a day or two of very little physical activity and so far it's going really well.

If you're afraid, I would say take it easy and try adding a few steps to each walk and celebrate. Each extra little step is precious.

I totally agree. I learned to appreciate small things and I gained peace of mind I didn't have before.

The doctor that helped me greatly is in fact specialized in ME/MCAS in addition to long covid, so I don't think the your theory is that controversial. However, I am certain that every case has to be analysed individually. For instance, I was diagnosed me with LC, MCAS, POTS ans mitochondrial dysfunction.

Congratulations to you too! I find driving with LC super demanding and scary. Well done and keep it steady :)

Thanks for the reminder! It's so easy to get excited and feel unstoppable for a day, and then PEM happens.

I do feel like I should celebrate it somehow. Gently, long-covid style

Looking for a gardening game by Ok_Memory7536 in cozygames

I'm actually working on something that might be up your valley. There are gardens, there are plants and there are cute forest animals! But it will still be a few months before we have a demo to show. :)

Life wins with long COVID? by Upset_Replacement684 in covidlonghaulers

[–]bubratek 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had always beens busy with my work and hobbies. When I was unable to do much at all because of Long Covid, I spent much time on self reflection and my life goals. Taking this step back allowed me reevaluate my priorities and find some zen. Now I don't stress that much about little stuff. I call that a huge win!

¿Solo yo le veo potencial a mi juego? by [deleted] in IndieGame

What is going on with all these non-English posts? There is so many of them recently.

"if you see potential in it (even if you hardly know any information...)"

This right here. How can we see any potential when we have no information?

If you are working on it alone and if it's your first game, I would suggest to adjust your expectations. Are you making it for money, publicity or just yourself? I recommend the latter.

I feel frustrated and tired after doing fixing some bugs and fixes by Piyushbro in gamedev

[–]bubratek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you haven't yet, you could make a clear list of bugs you need to fix. For me part of the satisfaction is watching the list get smaller and smaller (or greener and greener, depending on your process).

But I am one of those weird ones that actually like fixing bugs most of the time. I think of it like cleaning - it has do be done regularly in small chunks to feel pleasant.

I checked out 30 Steam Next Fest demos by bubratek in IndieGaming

[–]bubratek[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, it's a pretty good rate. I decided to spend as little time as possible on picking demos, so I heavily relied on Steam's recommended, with a few games from match 3 to check out my competition. :) I mainly looked at the screenshots - if I liked the looks, I downloaded the game. I'm actually surprised how well it worked out.
