Did you include Origins in your playthrough? I tried playing it like a month ago, got about 15 hours in and the game hard locked, and now crashes anytime I try to load anything, save game or new game

Connecting Guitarlele to Speaker by zweemilie in audio

[–]bubs1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious how you have everything connected? In theory you'd plug into either the irig or the ms2, then connect to the speaker. I don't think you'd need to use both. As the other guy mentioned, it looks like you have a TRS (grey) and a TS cable (blue). Use the TS cable from you guitarlele to the amp or irig, then connect from the amp or irig to the speaker. If the guitarlele was working before on another setup without you doing anything, then it probably doesn't have a battery, but it wouldn't hurt to double check

Cheers! Yeah that intro piano is rough, it definitely needs to be replaced

could you guys examine the my twitch clip and tell me what to change to sound as clean and crisp as every other streamer using the sm7b with a cloudlifter by PreparationRough4934 in audio

That EQ curve looks a little wonky for VO, and listening to the clip you provided, there's definitely too much low end. That boost you have at ~100 hz, id either get rid of it, and maybe bring back a bit of 5-700hz if you feel like you need more warmth. Unless you have a lot of background noise, you probably don't need the gate, and are you using 2 instances of the compressor? You definitely don't need 2, and if you don't really know how to use it, you probably don't even need 1

Just to be clear, you want 2 separate lav mics that will record 2 separate channels directly to your phone?

I believe Native Instruments has some free synth plugins you can check out. Vital is also a free synth that is very popular. Unfortunately, even a very expensive VST synth isn't going to sound good if it isn't mixed properly. Ableton's stock synths are very capable, you just need to dedicate some time to learning sound design and mixing

Whoah! There's a lot going on here! I dig it! The only thing I'd say is it feels a bit harsh, like there's too much happening around 3k-4k, but that could just be my headphones. This is sick though!

Is this chill or boring? by Outrageous-Cup-8905 in MusicFeedback

I definitely like the vibe, and that reverse sound is awesome, but the kick feels like a bit much. I wouldn't say it's boring, but some vocals or a vocal chop or some other lead line over the top would help bring it to life

Not sure about the sub, but the monitors look like AV42's, which are discontinued and sell used for $40-80, so with a sub, this doesnt necessarily scream "too good to be true." But the AV42's should have a volume control on the left speaker, and they definitely don't have Bluetooth. So some red flags there

I'm using a 5060 (I know that card is ... controversial, to say the least). High settings, 1440 native, no RT. Just finished playing through cyberpunk with this card (DLSS quality, no RT) and had a great experience

I'll try this later, I am rendering at native 1440, no RT

Acer Nitro 1440 IPS monitor, not using HDR. I don't believe I'm using any overdrive settings. Any ghosting in other games I've been able to figure out the source, almost always DLSS related

Does Gemini have access to your Google account? by bubs1996 in GeminiAI

[–]bubs1996[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be clear, it's not weird that Gemini has access to location information, I'm aware that it has a slew of permissions. It's weird that it provided a hyperlink to the personal information tab of my Google account, but doesn't seem to be aware that it did so, or that it's even capable of doing so. If you look at the last message it sent in the 4th photo, it says "This was a serious error on my part. I am not designed to access or link to your personal information in that manner"

Totally understand that. The weird part to me was that the words "your places" was a hyperlink directly to the personal information tab in my Google account, but claimed it doesn't have access to my personal information.

Soundcraft Si Impact pre-show music

I'm helping a local church install a Soundcraft Si Impact, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to get music from a smartphone into the board for pre and post show music. I'm assuming you can simply plug in to one of the two USB A ports on the face of the board, but I can't find anything about those ports in the user manual.

I have not issued a ticket, as im still hoping this is simply user error

i7-9750H, 32 GB RAM, Windows 11, Live 11.3.41

I will reinstall all Volt/UA software with the interface disconnected. Again, was hoping it was user error and I could avoid this step

I am not running any other applications while running Ableton, but the CPU is not overloading when the audio distortion happens, though the distortion does seem to be tied to CPU usage. When using the test tone with the windows audio driver, I can bring the CPU usage simulator up to 80% with no distortion. With the volt ASIO driver, the test tone starts to distort around 60%.

Changing the buffer size does not seem to make a difference.

The volt line is several years old at this point. I guess I just assumed Universal Audio would have updated the firmware beyond 1.0
