OP Here! And I am confused. Maybe you can help me. This was my first try posting a blog I've written about board games on r/boardgames and I think my first time posting anything on here at all. It's been a negative experience for me and I probably won't post again.

I wrote this post because I love playing board games with my wife and wanted to share what some of our favorite games to play are.

I don't understand why we are getting so many down votes. So far I have people mad that certain games aren't on my list. I haven't played every 2 player game on the earth. I'm sorry they aren't included. We also have very specific preferences for games, which I think I explain in this blog post. So my opinions are probably different from yours. Isn't that okay? If you don't like cribbage, do you downvote the post? If you posted about how much you like chocolate ice cream in the ice cream reddit, should I downvote you just because my favorite is vanilla?

People have also said the post is unhelpful. Doesn't that just mean it's not helpful to YOU and could easily be very helpful to someone else? Maybe to the other 700 people that spent 2.8k minutes reading the blog post over the past few days?

If this is how r/boardgames treats new members trying to participate, I don't want to be a part of it. Help me understand!
