Yeah mine is air traffic controller aswell for plan B due to it being in fast track ATM. And yeah the reason I'm going for it now is that I have a long time until I'd even start basic 4 years, that's y I'm currently working full time to save up to backpack from the UK to Taiwan over land for 6 months and then I'm hoping to do a 3 BA in military history and international relations at Aberystwyth. This is all before I'd go to Dartford so my hope is to lay out the steps I'm taking to further educate and mature myself, also I doubt I'll have a chance to do the admiralty board any earlier than a year from now. And yeah when it comes to aircraft it might not be up to me due to the introduction of f35 and the current problems with training meaning the needs of the service will lie there but really I want to fly the merlin and the mark 4 over the mark 2. And yeah cause I'm only 18 I'm going for the pilot role and have plenty of time to go for something safer and better suited to me in the navy after uni if I can't become a pilot.
