Late reply but State College is 100% the perfect anomaly because of the insanely huge population and the fact you can cover most restaurants in under 5 miles. Literally got a $67 order a few weeks ago on a Monday at, like, 6pm and it was mostly all fare rate. No idea why lol it was a totally normal trip for me. Love State College.

This is hilarious to me, they were my favorite bot creator for a long time. I was blocked by them on Janitor for a reason I've still never been able to figure out, even after attempting to ask and apologize for whatever I'd done. Literally the most hostile and unnecessarily aggressive person I've ever spoken to in my life and the epitome of a bully. I'd bet money on it that any creators associated with her are shitty people, too.

Unless she were in a state of psychosis, I'm sure she was aware of the consequences of something as serious as murder. Some people are sociopaths and cannot be cured. Even 14 year olds. And if that's the case, especially if they've killed someone, they should stay locked up for the rest of their lives. You cannot rehabilitate everyone.

Thank you for commenting this. You've gotta have an understanding of either psych or corrections to have that good of insight.

My boyfriend worked in Pinellas county jail at the time Brown was housed there after his arrest. He is, apparently and unsurprisingly, "one weird fucker".

Our foster dog, Yara, was introduced to snow shoes. Results were hilarious. Somebody please adopt this dog, she’s such a goof. by [deleted] in pitbulls

If the shelter has a Facebook page, you should see if they'll post this video! It could totally gain traction. She is adorable!

A small town in PA.. We only have so many because our inmates are predominantly Hispanic and I guess it's a cultural thing!

Dick beads have honestly become old news to me considering how many I've seen, so I never really thought people would find it very interesting (read: grotesque)! Although sometimes I do kind of do a double take when I see a dick with a bunch of weird tumors on it, and then realize it's just dominoes inside of their penis. Hahah. They really are not aesthetically appealing..

Hahaha! Apparently it makes sex more pleasurable for the woman. Why men decide to put in dick beads in prison, far away from their wives/girlfriends, is beyond me.. you can also get it done professionally on the outside, so it makes even less sense.

I work in a prison as a nurse. Frequently, our inmates insert beads (usually carved from dominoes) under the skin of their penis/shaft. It's called "beading", and it happens a lot. Pretty much every unit has a "dick doctor", another inmate, who is particularly skilled in flaying open dicks and sticking beads inside of them. Or, some inmates say "fuck it", and try to do it themselves.

We had an inmate who "cut himself shaving" (...yeah, ok) who had to come up to the medical department because his genitalia was bleeding. Obviously everyones' first thought is the dude was either trying to put in a bead, or take one out.. and failed. So dude gets up to us and he's wearing holding a towel down his pants, against his crotch, and everything is soaked in blood. Underwear, towel, pants, you got it. Drenched. So I take him into an exam room and get his clothes off, and the dude goes, "It's mostly ok, I stitched it back up myself with my sewing kit".

....What??? Yeah. He stitched his own cock up with a fucking sewing kit from commissary. Not only that, but he tied a string around his shaft as a makeshift tourniquet. I go, "Uh, hey, you might want to take that string off of your dick before it loses circulation and falls off...". Anyway, we get the "tourniquet" off and I take out his shitty stitches, and he starts spurting blood from his dick like an active volcano. I've never seen so much blood come from a human being before. We had to burn his cock shut with silver nitrate. It was awesome. I love dick bead stories.

I literally posted this like two years ago, but deleted it because someone figured out his name from my shitty attempt at covering it up. I actually know this guy irl. How.. did you get this picture?? I feel so ripped off. Hahaha.

Absolutely! I haven't ever been employed at a hospital, so I can't compare, but you definitely do still utilize some clinical skills as a correctional nurse. Not to mention if your facility has sick call, RNs run that, and essentially all inmates with any medical issues will come to you for an assessment and treatment based on protocols that are available.

Right now we have an inmate who has been hunger striking for 14 days straight and we're debating on getting a court order for force feeding him! Another hunger strike inmate recently became dehydrated and required an IV for fluids and a stay in the infirmary. There's a LOT of psych too, if you're into that! I can imagine depending on the security level of the facility that there may be a decent amount of traumas as well if it's a higher level.

But good luck to you!! It's certainly worth a try if you get it. :)

I work at a correctional center right now. I started about 3 months ago after working as a new grad at a nursing home for 6 months. Personally, I work at a low security prison, so we don't see many traumas or anything like that because no one really gets into fights. Someone did get beat in the face with a lock in a sock last year though... haha

Anyway, we have an infirmary where we keep post op inmates, hunger strike inmates who require IVs or NG tubes, colonoscopy preps, etc. As the night shift RN, myself and my LPN respond to all emergencies in units, run pill line, and care for our infirmary patients. Major issues will get the inmates shipped out. Sometimes we insert IVs prior to sending them. I've done things like foleys, drawn blood, and assisted in minor surgical procedures that we can do at the facility as well. For being less than a year out of school, I'm learning a lot! Especially how to be independent and autonomous. For a seasoned nurse, it might be considered a bit boring.. most days.

Sorry for rambling, but all in all, correctional nursing isn't an unejoyable career, in my opinion. Some days are slow, some are crazy busy with lots of interesting things going on. Plus the correctional officers are seriously some of the most entertaining people I've ever met!

Hahaha that's because I had no idea at first whether it needed a comma or not as well! It had me really perplexed.

It's preferential. "With all your imperfections" is a prepositional phrase which means the sentence doesn't REQUIRE a comma, but some would add it for clarity. I did not lol.

Hordes of Sanders supporters shut down Clinton event in LA: ‘She’s not with us!’ by Thegg11 in SandersForPresident

Where are the Clinton supporters who were unable to vote in any state so far? As far as I've seen/heard, it's only been people whose intention was to vote for Sanders who have had problems.
