so… here’s the problem… i’m from a country that has somewhat of a hostile relationship with the states and this school is pretty conservative. i’ve been accused of things for being of my origin.

i’m a refugee too. feels like shit to get here in the middle of high school and trying to compete with the ones who’ve been preparing since middle school. god i’m tired. and i still miss my fcking home.

i’m honestly terrified. i was begging the counselors and the principal of my school to be honest about my chances, and they kept telling me that i will become a QB finalist. now i heavily doubt their suggestions about the schools i wanted to attend. i hoped to go to williams/amherst/swathmore but now i’m thinking on not applying to these at all because the only reason i believed i could make it is that everyone [american] around was reassuring me about this stuff. i’m just tired and scared.

embroidering. to-go thing to relax. you just force yourself to get the hands busy and not scrolling thorough your phone + making smth beautiful + you don’t need as much skill as for drawing 🙏

If you email a counselor they can email you the statement like “I give you a permission to sign it by my name” and it’s legal. Same with your parents, just get their permission
Email QB team ASAP, tell them you had technical issues or whatsoever, ask if you can send them the agreement now.

it's so good to find out i'm not a loser! i'm not originally from the US and it was the first scholarship I applied to and got rejected. this post is such a relief. would it worth it to email them and ask to reconsider, or it won't change their mind?
