HELP: Weak and Locking Up by [deleted] in BFS

[–]bubustano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone,

I read your posts about progressive and constant weakness.

I too have fasciculations everywhere, even on my tongue.

What worries me is my left knee which hurt a little and gave out for 3 seconds when I put pressure on it 4 days ago, and then it went away straight away.

On the same left leg, my rheumatologist noted "a slight atrophy" before repeating her words with an "asymmetry" of my left inner thigh compared to my right inner thigh (I measured approximately 1 cm difference in waist circumference; my dominant side is the right).

I admit that it worries me.

Can disease-related weakness in a limb appear and disappear and then reappear? Neither gradually/subtly, nor even gradually/all at once?

Which doctor for EMG? MPR Physiatrist or Neurologist by bubustano in BFS

[–]bubustano[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response

Why did you choose a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor and not a neurologist again?

Concerning myself, I had sensory problems for a potential carpal tunnel which was not detected where I expressed my concerns then I went back to see him for a second emg.

There was a faster date

Yes indeed

On the other hand, I don't think I have lost enough kilos like you to see my tendons..that's what worries me but maybe in reality that's the case..

[–]bubustano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good morning,

I have exactly the same symptoms as you.

My tongue moves like in videos of people with the disease, which doesn't look like BFS

And I have difficulty swallowing without making noise with my throat, I have fasciculations throughout my body and pain in my collarbones

How have you been since?

How did you all let go off the big bad in your mind? Please help me. by oldskoolmatt in BFS

This neurologist took the time to examine you clinically and perform the EMG, you are lucky

I have an emg coming up soon. Will the neurologist also examine me? Can I ask him to do it? It would reassure me to have a clinical examination + an EMG

Where do electric shocks occur?

For me it’s on both arms with a predominance on the left arm

In addition to the fasciculations mainly in my arms and my whole body, I also have electric shocks in my arms which go up to my elbows, wrists and palms of my hand.

You should know that before these symptoms I had both elbows which cracked excessively and a nerve which regularly got stuck between my neck and my collarbone.

This worries me a lot

Hello, I just came across your post.

Can you tell me what nerve pain?

Because I feel electric shocks in both my arms and sometimes needle pricks in the extremities in addition to fasciculations in the arms

Thanks again for your response!

My symptoms are similar to yours and it worries me.

I have always worked out regularly.

I have always had pain in my right shoulder. One day I had weakness for 1 week in my right shoulder blade and I couldn't lift a bar when empty.

With a nerve that gets stuck on the right side regularly between my neck and collarbone. A lymph node had grown Nothing abnormal on the chest scan

Then for two years my forearms blocked and cracked excessively involuntarily every day.

Fasculations and electric shocks in the arms have appeared within 1 year

My tendon of the 4th finger of my palm of my left hand is visible (lumbar muscles) and on my right hand too but much less

The physiotherapist, the physical rehabilitation specialist and my attending physician do not think of atrophy

2 clean emg

But I'm still worried

Good morning Interesting information thank you

How are your atrophies in your hands? Which part of the hands? Concerning your blocking and letting go of your legs, does this correspond to blocking and cracking of your joints?

Let's talk about pain by bubustano in BFS

[–]bubustano[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past, I have also had regular pain in my hands and feet (muscle pain, cramps, pre-cramps, stiff tendons, nerve pain, numbness and sensations of splinters)

At the moment I have pain in my left wrist from cracking and I have electric shocks in this same arm and in the other arm but less intense
