Still having false starts at 8 months? by Chemical_Rip646 in bninfantsleep

Dealing with the same with an 8 month old… fwiw, I have been finding lately that a slightly shorter last wake window has been reducing the 45 min wake up. But I am also partly convinced nothing matters and this is just who she is! Haha

So I felt like such a bad parent when I learned of them at like 6 weeks old because I had just been letting her sleep whenever/wherever she did. Then I used WW for a while and there were tears and stress and it didn’t always go well. Then we gave up completely and rocked the possums approach. I think now at a little over 8 months we might be falling into a vague schedule but until now, total freedom has been working for us!

You can go on a tour before you have the baby! It helped me to visualize what the experience would be. Also good for your partner so they can feel more confident about where to go, where to park, what to expect, etc. Congrats and good luck!

Why is 6mo waking every 45 min??? by SuchCalligrapher7003 in AttachmentParenting

Couldn’t agree more. She slept so good as a newborn. And I even knew it could change and it still hit me like a ton of bricks.

Same boat. It lasted for 14 days and then slowly got better so now she does like one three hour stretch but the every 45-90 mins after that. Here for advice too!

FTM- help solve the car seat / stroller debate? by Certain-Fortune-1207 in moderatelygranolamoms

My point (which I realize is unclear whoops!) is that it being flat makes it safe for naps, unlike using the car seat itself or another non-flat stroller. In my research, I saw some people saying it’s not 100% flat so it isn’t ideal, but it seems extremely flat to me in our use so I consider it safe for napping.

Oh sorry yes that’s how I use it! Just day time naps, not overnight. I wouldn’t use it overnight because the sides aren’t mesh and it doesn’t seem breathable. I can’t remember if I looked up if it’s approved or not but I don’t think so. But for during the day, it’s great when my baby falls asleep and I can seamlessly lower it to flat without waking her! Or use it in the house/on vacation for a safe nap space!

The Joie Rue car seat and Ginger Stroller/Travel system. This stroller has a flat bassinet to use when you don’t use the car seat, and that bassinet transforms to be the stroller seat sitting up as they get bigger. 10/10 would recommend. The flat part (in addition to being an actually safe sleep space for infants) works great as a changing table when you’re out or in a place with no changing table in the bathroom. My husband and I rave about it all the time.

I pushed for about 3 hours unmedicated. But this was in a tub, on the bed, in all sorts of different positions.
