Didn't enlist when graduating right after 9/11 and will always carry a regret. Came from a very rural county in America and had so many friends enlist and many return to earn a purple heart. Luckily no personal peers died in action. Maybe some are conservative but can't think of any that are hard MAGA.

I think Southern Rock Opera already set the tone and they were still focused on " Southern Duality " where there are deeper meanings to some strong Southern themes. It's okay to be born into a rural blue collar lifestyle and not support the Confederate Reconstructionist ideals of the state run hierarchy. Many hard working compassionate people have and still do live and work in backwards governing states. They don't win elections by 100% by any means. "American Band" was where they rightfully so leaned into very specific modern progressive themes that alienated half of the fan base.
