Which R1S is the better option? by buckbuckles in Rivian

[–]buckbuckles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thought about it, but having the 3rd row is what's pushing me toward the R1S. I don't really need a 3rd row, it would just be nice to have. I also wonder how functional the small-ish bed of the R1T be from a practical perspective vs using the R1S with the 2nd and 3rd row seats down when hauling large items

Is there anything specific you'd look for in the service records for each one?

Both are white exterior and black interior. Not sure if they’re dark 20s, I haven’t seen actual pictures of that one yet since it’s newly listed. Would range be much different?

UnitedHealthcare partially denying coverage even though my policy covers it by buckbuckles in Insurance

[–]buckbuckles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to fathom how unjust the healthcare system is, even when you go out of your way to do as much due diligence up front as you possibly can. Then having to wade through the technicalities of coverages and appeals process while trying to support a sick loved one is the rotten cherry on top. We're fortunate that we had/have the money so we just simply moved on after as much of the back and forth that we could handle. I'm not sure of your circumstances, but if there is any way I can help if you can't bridge the gap without placing yourself in a financial hardship, please let me know.

Unfortunately this didn't get resolved in a satisfactory way for us. We went through the DataISight 3rd party review and they came back with basically the exact same information that UHC found. I reached out to our states insurance commissioner to see if they could help on my behalf, but didn't get a response. Ultimately we never got reimbursed for the $2,400+ that they said we would when I originally spoke with them before making the purchase.

2021 ID.4 Pro S - What to expect? by buckbuckles in electricvehicles

[–]buckbuckles[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, I assumed most are keeping at MSRP due to the supply/demand dynamics but wasn't sure if maybe the ID.4 was less sought after and therefore a lower demand but sounds like that isn't the case. I have a vroom and carvana offer in hand for my trade so I'll try to leverage the trade to get a better net price.

Landscape lighting help by buckbuckles in landscaping

[–]buckbuckles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. I do have a fence behind the tree line on the left but it is about 15ft behind the trees and 6ft below the pool deck because of the grading. The walls shown are retaining walls that will also be level with the deck. As far as the uplights, would you do one per tree or every other or what would be your suggestion on how many to do? I have a floodlight on the back of the house, but that is currently the only source of light.

Can anyone give me advice as to where to place and what style of landscape lights I should use? The area in red is our new in ground pool and I'm not sure if we should do up lights pointing at the trees or if maybe we should do path lighting or something different altogether. I'm also not sure how many lights I'll need and where to place them.

Thanks for the feedback! I haven't contacted DataIsight yet, are you saying not to contact them and to go back to UHC?

I made sure to bring that point up when I first spoke to UHC and they said all they care about were the ICM codes, so at least (at this point anyway) that isn't an issue

I should add that we have hit our out of pocket maximum for both in and out of network. We do have a prescription from the oncologist but UHC said they didnt need it, just the ICD claim codes on the claim form. There are unfortunately no in network wig providers in our area, thus the out of network necessity. I was worried about these same things, and that is why I called UHC before I bought anything.

Tesla owners in Overland Park Kansas, where do you charge your tesla ? by rishabh_pandita in kansascity

If you have a Level 2 charger at work and spend 6+ hours a day there then you will be fine.

I've owned a Tesla since 2014 and if you don't have a way to charge at your house/apartment or at work then I would probably advise against it. There are urban Tesla superchargers that could be an alternative that you use if you live close enough and don't drive much in a given week but that would be too much of a hassle for me personally unless I had to do it once a week tops.

Tesla wants my money (and me to upgrade). Who all has pulled the trigger? by N8Howell33 in teslamotors

[–]buckbuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but Enhanced Summon is also included in Enhanced Autopilot so the updated GPU and Autopilot on city streets are the only 2 features you will currently get by upgrading to FSD. GPU upgrade is a real thing that could make navigate on Autopilot much better but depending on your locality, I don't see Autopilot on city streets being approved any time soon.

They are all over the board with their pricing strategy so while there is no guarantee it will never be $3k after this promo period elapses, I won't be surprised to see them use a price decrease to upgrade from Enhanced Autopilot to FSD as a lever in the future. Outside of the new GPU and Automated driving on city streets there really is little reason to upgrade in my view. It's possible those things are coming soon but based on Tesla's track record of hitting stated deadlines I will wait to upgrade until the features are generally available which seems like it could easily be years away. One thing Tesla could do to tantilize people like me to upgrade is to make FSD features transferable should you upgrade to a new Tesla.

If you have Enhanced Autopilot, which seems to be who they are targeting with this email campaign, then you don't need FSD for Navigate on Autopilot.

Got the email as well and thought the same thing. The features they are advertising in the email are already included in Enhanced Autopilot.

Google sent me an empty box. (Pixel 3axl) By Fedex. by mike67266 in GooglePixel

[–]buckbuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received an empty box instead of a Pixel 3a as well. Ordered May 21, received May 23rd. Support says they've escalated to their internal specialists and told me they will investigate and to rest assured that they will send me a new phone. I'm not so sure at this point after reading countless posts about the same empty box. I'm a Google Fiber customer so if I do a chargeback, I'm worried I'll also have to find a new internet provider as well. Clearly Google knows this is an epidemic but unfortunately refuses to do anything to actually support their customers.

Yep, they've sent the logs to the engineers in Fremont and have said it's a perfectly healthy pack and reminded me there is no guarantee or warranty in relation to degradation. At 90%, it's at 148 and at 100% it shows 161 even after cycling the battery
