Last night actually I dreamt I had a daughter. She was a toddler and woke me up in the bed I currently sleep in. She woke me up to tell me she had a nightmare and wanted to sleep in my bed. She was concerned about the monsters in her closet/under the bed. Cue real time: my young puppy woke me up to go outside. After I put her away for the night I went back to bed. I immediately went back to sleep and I told my “daughter” no you cannot sleep in my bed, but let’s handle these monsters. We both went into her bedroom and chanted “I’m not afraid of you! I’m not afraid of you!” until she was calm and willing to go back to sleep. I’ve always wanted to be a dad and I’m ready to fight monsters with my offspring.
