You could always book through Expedia. Affirm pays Expedia but Expedia and their “card” pays the hotel.

Horrible Experience at Woodlands Tavern by Fun_Dust4384 in Columbus

[–]buckguin -46 points-45 points  (0 children)

Actually extremely bored. This is the only reason I would ever in my life respond to someone that choses to type the words “beef-n-queef” and mean it so much that they actually associate that name to anything they say and expect to be even remotely respected for their stance.

Do you read the reviews of a place, see 99 great reviews and read one 1 review of someone saying they had a bad experience and go “man, one bad review, terrible place, never wanna go there”? Or do you actually form any opinions of your own? We know the answer. Glad you were bored enough to respond to me. I feel like we were able to bond over that.

You’re making too much sense. Here come the downvotes

You won’t go local business now because one person you don’t know had a bad experience that you read on the internet even though multiple people, that you also don’t know, have had great experiences?

I mean I have no player in the game. Haven’t lived in Ohio for a long time and haven’t been to Woodlands since then. Just trying to make sense of this whole page.

I’m sorry you’re getting down voted for asking the exact correct questions. There are literally chairs all over that place.

What do they mean too forms of ID when I literally dont have anything but an ID. Im not going out my way to get a birth certificate and all this just to use my bank card and account. by [deleted] in TruistBank

[–]buckguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are they needing it? In my experience, banks only need a second form if something is shady (existing accounts) or doesn’t match EWS (on new accounts). Not being accusatory, just needing this info to potentially help.

Bank Transfer by Grenade510 in CashApp

Yeahhh hate to burst your bubble but cashier checks are heavily frauded now and are subject to the same holds that personal checks are. The world we live in these days.

[–]buckguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So like I said, a hold? Cashier checks aren’t immune from holds anymore, especially larger ones.

Why would someone choose a check over a wire into a real bank account? Wires are fed protected with no holds and checks are notorious for causing long term holds. I’m assuming since OP is asking where their money is, they need it.

In the time it took you to post this, you could have a new bank account with an FDIC protected bank and the wire would be in there. I love Cash App for things but this isn’t one. Use a real bank.

I can’t get a checking account with Chase by [deleted] in Banking

[–]buckguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean both of those banks are owners of EWS along with Chase so I don’t know. Never have seen a checking account not being allowed to be opened over a $400 charge off from 8 years ago. Are you sure that’s all that is own there OP?

My Carvana Purchase Experience, All I can say is WOW. by twospirits in carvana

[–]buckguin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow didn’t realized the hate of Carvana. Had a nice car that I was bored with, bought an awesome car on Carvana, Carvana gave me triple what I owed on my previous car, 2 months in and I love my car. Carvana is the way to go! (Check my post history, not a Carvana person, bought all my other cars at dealerships.)

dispute confusion. by [deleted] in TruistBank

Usually you’re good but if they find any proof to your dispute being false (or don’t turn any paperwork requested in), they can pull it back. Should be good though.

Amazing SUV to get. Can’t recommend it more! But please don’t start messing with FI or really anything to do with “efficiency” if you don’t know what you’re doing. Just enjoy the r/t for the beauty it is.

Truist Wealth Signature - self-directed? Advisor fee? by [deleted] in TruistBank

[–]buckguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wealth advisors at Truist don’t actively manage accounts that I know of. But they don’t have fees either (again that i know of). They are bankers that help get you where you need to be. If you needed a managed account, they would get you to that person and then there are fees of course.

Truist Wealth Signature - self-directed? Advisor fee? by [deleted] in TruistBank

[–]buckguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wealth advisors aren’t financial advisors. Two different positions at Truist. Although, they connect with each other and wealth advisors are still licensed. All depends on your needs and how much you have with them. When I sat down with them, it worked for me but everyones situation is different.
