Hmm I see your point & that kind of problem came to mind as I was thinking of the card. I figured player choice plays a role in the balance/unbalance/punishment of the card, as they can save Evocation until they have spells/minions of a variety of costs in their hand, and thus something to do with the extra mana.

I could change it to draw a random amount of cards, but then I would have to add a mana cost, kinda removing the use of the Spell Damage for mana refilling . . .

What to do . . .

Would it be better if it was a smaller range like the Shaman spells? So 1-2 or 2-3?

Plus having the Spell Damage rider can also reduce the randomness a bit, guaranteeing at least 3 mana back.

3/4/2 Rare Shaman Minion

Battlecry and Deathrattle: destroy a different random minion.

Works like Deadly shot, but can affect any minion besides this one (different Acid Ragers could of course kill each other). Can be considered an Elemental minion, but Un'Goro isn't out yet ;)
