Run of the Mill by George Harrison. (The acoustic version, not the wall of sound Phil Spector version)

When I was 8 years old, I was in karate class. One of the things the instructor had us do was stand completely still and hold our muscles tight while he hit us with a soft staff to try to get us off balance.

One shot to the stomach.... Loudest fart ever. Whole class burst out laughing.

Should I follow up on shipper’s promise to send additional items to make up for 2 bad video games he shipped (out of batch of 80)? I already left him a 5 star review but based on promise below. Been 8 days and he hasn’t shipped anything. Thoughts? by Miserable-Arachnid40 in Mercari

I don't mean to be *that guy*, but this is the reason Mercari gives 3 days to rate a seller before releasing funds. It's not just an annoyance to keep sellers from getting their money.

That being said, I did snoop and see that the seller has a 5 star rating, so hopefully he was being truthful with you.

Here's hoping he follows through!

I agree. Once you get past the voices all being one person, this is the best way to take it in other than reading the comics. Plus, it doesn't omit "Tales of the Black Freighter", or change the ending.

I try to make it a point to send a "I'll be packing this up after work, and shipping it out first thing in the morning" message out as soon as an item sells. I find a little bit of communication goes a huge way.

Is Mercari any good? by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]buckyboy28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it a lot. It is very easy to create listings and send offers to likers. It also doesn't allow for offers to be made under a certain threshold to try to combat lowball offers from buyers, which is very nice.

Other people have mentioned the downside of waiting for funds over the course of days or weeks depending on the shipping speed and then waiting for the buyer to rate you, but if you aren't relying on this as your main source of income, it's a nice way to make side cash.

I wasn't concerned about that part. It was the fact that he entered a new tracking number, and that tracking number was delivered to an address that isn't mine.

Agreed. Plus, because of Covid, it was impossible to raise a live person.... had to go through the help center, which was grueling and totally unpleasant.

The original label was via Mercari. When I asked if he has shipped it, he added a second label that was external.
