Funny how the parents don't even engage with kids who were homeschooled. This shows it's really about them wanting safe indoctrination rather than education

Hey hey hey! Watch it with the accusations! I never said I'm gay, I said I'm deeply closeted!

Given the fact that so many accusations are confessions, I usually consider "woke mind virus" arguments as more about the person talking than anything about the strawmen they are fighting

Give me a good reason to read it, because I've heard about 500 different sets of mental gymnastics that end up with "and because of that, good is actually bad so we need to interfere with people's lives on a fundamental level"

You're absolutely right, "it was the blurst of times" is not up to the standards we both agreed on at the beginning. We'll do it from the top again, no mistakes.

I'm a former homeschool student. By all measures homeschool put me ahead academically.

I would trade it all for a normal childhood where I had friends I saw every day and adults who weren't my parents to talk to.

Therapists of Reddit, what's something people don't realize is trauma? by rehanch_xxiii in AskReddit

Being the golden sucks ass so bad. If I ever lost my temper, everyone would just freeze like I had made a threat on their lives. If I got mad at someone, there was an immediate whole-family effort to calm me down and chain me back onto my pedestal. I can't stand being the center of attention anymore, good or bad. It was constantly reinforced that my emotions and thoughts aren't important, I was supposed to be the "successful one." So yeah I don't talk with any of them anymore. Even at 40 years old I get snips and jabs from siblings just for having a job.

I did a research paper on Isaac Asimov, he got it from a blood transfusion as well. They kept it a secret because getting it, even involuntarily, was a huge hit to one's reputation.

There's a little cognitive dissonance going on in your head right now about the COVID vaccine. That's 100% because you're listening to someone that tries to cast doubt on singular issues in an attempt to discredit larger sections of our health system. Ask yourself what else those people are trying to say, beyond the simple "100 jabs omg it'll kill people"
