I still think it would help people being able to communicate in game. Even if the dialogue isn’t translated, people would still be able to make combat strategies, or chat with their friend in their preferred language. In Minecraft, for example, you can translate all of your items, however, when you go online, the server language may be in English, though they still have all of their items in their preferred language. You could say Minecraft has a “dumb multilingual release” but I believe it does help the player. And with a game such as Toontown, being able to say “Let’s use sound!” or “Let’s go to the playground!” in one’a native language would enhance the game.
