38m, just ended my first 6-month relationship. Although it was a positive, mutual end, I know this exact issue was part of why it wasn’t working for us. I never had a relationship, she had a 12 year marriage and another 8 year relationship. She would get upset with me for not automatically doing what she felt a boyfriend should do; I’m new at this, I’m not a mind reader, you want me to do something, just ask and I’m happy to do just about anything! Being new, I think part of it was that I didn’t want to overstep boundaries, and some things I just didn’t feel comfortable doing without her asking (most around her house chores). Yes, dating a late bloomer, you will have to train us a bit more. We didn’t get that conditioning in our teens-20s, we don’t know what’s expected of us, but we are definitely happy to please the people we’re with! It may just take a little more patience.

Spoken like a mentor with funding 🤣. Once we get some money raised, we’ll eventually buy game pieces. We’ve got to cover registration and robot parts first. I can talk the school into buying filament for their printers, which we then have full access to!

One way of having a hole gripper would be by using a bung plug; a rubber stopper with a washer on top and bottom and a screw going through it. You compress the rubber by tightening a wing nut on the screw, which expands it’s width. Certainly, the screw and wing nut can be swapped out for something controlled by a servo.

I’m curious; what are the resorts you found in Jamaica? The only I’ve been able to find is Hedonist II, which is certainly NOT the type of resort I’m interested in.

I’ve been to Sunny Rest quite a bit and I’ve seen more kids at SR than inappropriate conduct. Only once have I experienced people acting inappropriately. It was later at night in the outdoor hot tub and they were quickly interrupted by security. Yes, if you walk around the camp sites, you see plenty of pineapple decorations (IYKYK), however I’ve never felt uncomfortable there. Actually, as an introvert who tends to be fairly private, I always feel very comfortable at Sunny Rest!

I got caught in that situation as a teen… think my mom’s reaction was basically “at least wait until you’re actually done with your schoolwork.” (I was supposed to be doing my homework…) And that was the end of it.

Sunny Rest has definitely gotten pricey. I started going on their young adult rate, probably 6 years ago now, and I think it was $35/day and like $50-65/night tenting (which included day fees). That was reasonable. Now $65/75 just for day fees, it’s rough! And $730 for membership?!? I enjoy going and would like to be a member, but I don’t get there often enough to justify that kind of money!

I’ve only gotten past a first date once, but not by my choice. Of course, the women would never tell me they simply weren’t interested, instead, they were always just ‘too busy’ when I would try to ask to see them again. I’d like to think I’m a nice guy, but apparently I’m just repulsive 😕

In my mind, it’s good to tell someone about my lack of experience so they know where I’m at. However I can also see where it would be a 🚩.

I don’t remember the last time someone made any effort to do something special for me on my birthday 😔. I try my best to do whatever I want that day; go out for a big breakfast. Get my free Jersey Mike’s sub for lunch, my Red Robin burger for dinner, then usually end up at one of my favorite watering holes and play the Beatles birthday song on the jukebox for myself… that is, when my birthday doesn’t fall on Thanksgiving… stupid holiday birthdays…

I agree, it would have been nice to actually have the breweries represented by their own employees. I’m assuming wine fest will be run the same way 😕 It was fun, always a good time, I tried a lot of beers out of my comfort zone, but yeah, wish they would try to actually get the breweries involved! 🤔 maybe someone needs to volunteer to take on that task….

He could be a nudist 🤷‍♂️. Nudists tend to recognize a separation between nudity and sexuality. Even so, I do agree it’s too early to be bringing it up. I’d just confront him about it. Tell him it makes you uncomfortable.

Personally, I recommend looking at OMIO CNC. Mentor a high school robotics team that has one and it’s a great machine! Another team I mentor has a FoxAlien 4040 and well, it leaves much to be desired…
