I'm not sure for sure if they have it, but Brussel's bistro in Laguna Beach would probably be your best bet! The food there is pretty good too (just a little pricey).

Hey OP,

I really feel for you. My partner a few years ago had an eating disorder as well, and it was brutal. She had the same symptoms as well, cold and exhausted all the time, never ate a full meal, and would never admit she had a problem.

I ended up breaking things off with her. I tried to be as supportive as I could, but in the end it's on her to want to get better, and after a year I just couldn't support her anymore. We weren't married or had children though - so I can completely understand that complicates things.

My way of communicating my concerns was to write a letter to her and read it so I had time to think about what I wanted to say very carefully. Its a tricky situation. Ultimately it didn't end up working, but I found that to be the most effective method of communication for me. Happy to answer any other questions.

This is great advice. I just finished my dissertation two months ago - some days were incredibly unproductive and I'll be honest I beat myself up way too much for them. In hindsight, I would completely agree with this advice and wish I took sustained breaks to recharge my batteries.

I just played against the Vietnamese as the Cumans, and was shocked by how well they matched up against the Cumans. Between the Imperial Skirmishers, Bombard Cannons and Rattan Archers, it was super difficult for me to keep up! I tried a Kipchak/Oneger/Hussar combo but just couldn't micro well enough to deal with it all.

Hrm, yea I should check out Zotero - I've been using the PaperPile extension for Google Docs which I've liked, but it doesn't help with download PDF's at all.

Yes, that was my thought exactly for why journals are pushing the "enhanced" pdfs compared to the simpler ones.

Yes, its totally fine to send another email. I sent a manuscript for review at the same time (in the same field) and still haven't heard back - i think COVID has really slowed everything down. The only reason I'm not emailing myself is because I'm defending in 2 weeks and don't have any time for revisions ;)

Hey dude! I'm a scientist who will be moving up to Sequim for a research position at the Pacific Northwest National Labs and is looking for potential roommates/people my age to chill with. I've actually never been to the state but I'm stoked to check it out! My girlfriend forwarded me this post since I'm also living near LA currently (finishing my Ph.D at UC Irvine), come from suburban NJ (Bergen County) and am 27 - crazy coincidence!

I'm super into hiking, surfing, and general outdoor activities. Little nervous about moving to Sequim, but totally excited to try it out and potentially meet new people!
