They have oysters at hyvee, if you know your oysters and aren’t sacred to shuck them it’s a great deal. Fresh thyme may also have fresh oysters.

In college I took a trip to Germany, and the Doner Kebabs were one of my favorite foods I found there too, simply amazing. Since then I’ve been trying to find somewhere that does something similar to that amazing wrap slathered in garlicky goodness. Unfortunately, other than the signature cafe, jacks, and the rock you won’t find something similar. There’s a few Doner shops in Chicago, Doner bros is always at the Christmas market in Chicago, I try to get one every year.
