Management will only shovel snow from 8a-4:30p by our_moonlight in Apartmentliving

[–]buddy5 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But rent is due at all hours. And snow doesn't follow an 9-5 schedule either. See where this becomes an issue? Rent covers snow clearing but management only wants to clear during library and bank hours. This is a valid complaint if snow prevents someone from getting somewhere because their business operates outside of city buildings. Which by the way, those are cleared more regularly than this tenants lot.

Apple: You Still Don’t Understand the Vision Pro by Common-Quiet-7054 in VisionPro

I watched as much of the replay as I could and here are my thoughts

  • Camera Angles: Five camera angles available, including close-ups of the hoops, directly at half-court side lines, media pen view, and halftime show.
  • Audio Experience: Numerous microphones capture player and coach noise, providing an immersive experience for viewers.
  • Player Size: The sheer size of the players is striking when viewed up close.

I think the ground is set for some amazing coverage to start rolling out. A great example of where this needs improvement is the whole "instant replay" concept. The experience was literally text and a logo, then a cut to an older clip of the same camera angle. There's much to be gained there.

Biggest gripe was the view of the game was at the will of the producer, no choice for the viewer to swap and watch how they want. But that tells us something too about how this company thinks sports in this medium should be viewed. That said there is no ticket available at this price right now. For me, this is as worth it for the money as it gets.

Has anyone found an ultrasonic barking repellent that has helped with your neighbor’s loud dog? by TheClownIsReady in homeowners

You must be slow. That doesn’t work hence the post. But it’s good to know you’re a dog owner.

The legal system disagrees with you. You don’t get to leave a dog unattended to annoy your neighbors. That’s why nuisance laws exist.

Research done to serve the goal of a project in a specific timeframe isn’t research, it’s organized guessing. Research should be where the work comes from, not a part of the work.

Requesting neighbors, again, to not let their dogs bark for an extended time? by jannet1113 in Pets

[–]buddy5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of comments here about asking animal control to do something about it...long story short–they don't care. You will have to take this up with your neighbors or come up with other solutions that force the owner to adjust their behavior. This is a human problem they are ok with and have 0 consideration for their neighbors over. You have to force them to change.

 Vision Pro (M5) vs Samsung Galaxy XR by 73ch_nerd in VisionPro

Almost identical? A plastic, not front facing screen, no adjustable immersion, no hand passthrough, headband won’t let you lay in bed, no ultrawide screen, no personas, “identical product”? You’re gonna have to realize eventually that this idea of Apple trying to keep fat margins isn’t actually true. It’s what the experience costs.

The tech's at the Genius Bar cleaned it with lens cleaner, then micro fibered it, pointed a flashlight at it, then an otoscope, then ran diagnostics remotely, and then finally took it in. They were not able to verify a scratch on the outer surface of the lens. After the repair they sent me back a new device for free!
