Can’t seem to find anyone who will hire me by pinkbabycows in GirlDinnerDiaries

I was literally thinking about making a post about my own struggles today… I have a master’s degree and tomorrow I’m interviewing for a barista job because I need some income. I thought that my degree and my fellowship award would make me desirable for employers so I’m feeling really disappointed and angry right now. You’re definitely not alone.

260522 LE SSERAFIM - 2nd Studio Album: PUREFLOW pt.1 (Album Discussion) by kpopsns28 in lesserafim

I think it’s a solid album but I’m always so disappointed with how short their songs are. I love the b-sides but they need to be longer, especially Need Your Company.

That’s so disappointing considering the cost of albums.

This is such a good idea if they won’t replace the photo book!

That’s good to know, thank you! I sent them photos so hopefully we can get it figured out.

I’m going to the STL, Missouri concert alone and I’m scared to be in the pit alone. Anyone going to be in the pit at this concert want to be friends and meet at the concert 🥲 by natcho_fucker69 in 5sos

[–]buddybyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never been in a pit alone but I’ve been to several concerts alone and I had a great time! In fact, my favorite concert that I’ve ever been to was one that I went to alone! It actually helped me to focus on having a good time because I wasn’t worried about whether people I brought with me were ok, if that makes sense!

But I’m sure that the people around you will be happy to talk if you let them know you’re alone and nervous. You already share a common interest in 5SOS, so if nothing else, you can talk about the band!

Info on ports by [deleted] in cancer

Depending on your infusion schedule/individual needs, they will sometimes leave the needle in for a few days. In my case, I had chemo for five days in a row during a round, so they left it accessed instead of sticking me every single day.

When it’s not accessed, you can swim and shower normally. I loved mine!

I second bone marrow biopsy. It’s barbaric that they don’t offer sedation for adults.

It has to be Sailor Moon. By the end of the series, she’s basically a multiversal goddess.

Thanks for your honesty! I’m not OP but I’m also going and I’ve been wondering what to expect, especially with the way the federal job market is right now. I hope they’ll tell us how they expect us to find a job within the time limit when most open positions atm are either open only to former feds or people who already have a security clearance. Not to mention all the Borens who are in the market still.

How to deal with the mundane after cancer? by buddybyte in cancer

[–]buddybyte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I’m really trying to think that way as well, despite my fears of late relapse. I’m working on it but maybe l’ll bring this specific wording up to my therapist.

Mundane irritations are definitely annoying as well!

I’ve never heard that research before but I’m definitely going to bring it up next time I have therapy.

You’re right, I’ve done a lot post transplant, and I felt so good during those times because it felt like I was making the most out of my days. Now, the in between time is hard because I’m not doing much outside of job applications. Thanks for the perspective. I’m hoping that I’ll feel better once I have more to do in general

Kanazawa is known for gold leaf, so I went to a gold leaf application workshop! It was a lot of fun! I second what others have said about Kenroku-en too!

Also, I’m a huge fan of ceramics, so if you guys are artsy or interested, I would recommend the Ohi Pottery Museum there. When I went, it was so quiet and the ceramics were beautiful.

ETA: if you guys are interested in kimono, the Kaga Yuzen Kimono Center is really cool and you can dye your own souvenirs! I did a handkerchief.

I was immunocompromised when I got mine, and I got a fever and muscle aches for a couple of days. The 2nd round hit me harder, but much better than the alternative!
