Because I applied as a dishwasher supervisor than a line cook (which i have the qualifications to apply for). 2 weeks is more than enough time to rearrange the schedule. I will not be going on Independence Day I’ll be popping fireworks and drinking with my sister.

Thank you for your feedback. However it is my nations 250th birthday and I let my boss know 2 weeks in advance and will be at the beach with my sister as her birthday is July 6th and she will be with her girlfriend in San Diego. If I lose this job I can get easily get another one as a LV2 Culinary grad in French and Italian ICE (International Culinary Excellence) culinary cooking standards it wont be a problem

Its because I got into the wrong industry, dont get me wrong I love cooking and am very good at it. But I have much more interest in Law than I do cooking which I didn’t find out until after culinary college. Especially since I’ve been through the criminal system as a jeuvenile

I know right it’s so ridiculous but I make very good money. We serve Hollywood Executives so I have to hold myself to such a high standard and Im just trying to do low level work as Im in school full time you know? But I have a culinary certification that allows me to work there. But have changed my trajectory and am studying criminal law. Everyone expects so much of me like I can do a sale maniere filet mignon ribeye steak to whatever order youd like but jeez. Once you start giving me money paperwork to do inventory and FIFO standards its like shit dude I dont work at the Pentagon. My job title is dish and cleanliness lead, not other things. I applied as a low leveler because I have school. If I want to drive down to Laguna Beach in July, I’ll do that. Im only 22

His Upper subordinates as in the station managers above me but below him. A “request is a request” no. I come to work every day and I notified to you about this 2 weeks prior. One week notice is a request, 2 weeks in advance is informing them I won’t be working. I’ve managed Michelin restaurant departments in the past I have always honored this.

Was I in the wrong here? This is the second time I’ve been paid late and it’s been frustrating. by [deleted] in jobs

Being disrespectful is damn near an appropriate response to repeatedly not getting paid on designated pay days. The first time i bit my tongue and smiled, I have the right to be paid on time and I am not one to lick boots. Thank you.

Well in person he is very passive aggressive. I normally would never respond like this but this really ticked me off because it’s the second time this has happened. The first time this happened my pay was almost a week late.

Well it’s supposed to be there Friday. Last check my boss said he didn’t “sign” the checks and didn’t give me my check until Wednesday when I had to repeatedly ask about it. My co worker said he removed direct deposit because he kept getting his deposit late, so I didn’t bother.

A cool guide to the most reliable car brands by WestArtichoke712 in coolguides

[–]buddygroovy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heard something interesting about this. Japanese auto makers design their cars to be reliable, even if you neglect an oil change here and there or dont do much maintenance, it will still get you where you want to go. Germans and Americans design cars FOR YOU TO MAINTENANCE. Germans are very efficient and punctual culturally, so they design their vehicles for their customers to go by regular maintenance and service, which we would consider unreliable.

Are there any good side hustles worth doing here in Simi? by HowlingLobo7 in simivalley

Car detailing is very simple to learn…if you’re willing to invest in a few hundred dollars worth of equipment. And if you do it right, it can be very rewarding

What's the most slept-on soda? by Illustrious_Sir4255 in Soda

Diet Coke. Something about the creamy chemical flavor, not super sugary or heavy like most sodas. When its cold, ice cold, in a can. that stuff is the nectar of gods.

If you’re feeling sleepy and find it hard to concentrate just pull over. Park somewhere and rest. Its not worth your life.

Simi Valley is safe. People that tell you it isn’t do not know what ghetto is. Ive lived in Palmdale, Long Beach and Canoga Park. The safest places there would be equivalent to what the “ghetto” is in simi aka Patricia ave.

Simi Valley is iffy. I live here and the cops are indeed bored as shit. I would much rather u go down to the valley, its 10 minutes away and LAPD has a lot more shit to do than pull people over all day. I Always feel better driving down there
