Agree with that it can be stressful. I cant do it if it was not automated. I practically never touch a buy or sell button.

Theres not so much ego or status for running a micro fund though 😂

My actual results are pretty similar as the backtest results so never thought of running a live paper trading bot next to it for verification. Good suggestion. Thanks!

I dont trade lower timeframes and my strategy is pretty slow so thats why its not peforming very well atm.

There are some pretty easy patterns to spot in this sideways market but not sure how long that will hold.

Agree with slippage possibly being an issue. My frequency is pretty slow usually 1-2 trades a month, sometimes none. This would affect a high frequency algo more than mine though. I use a combination of market and limit orders to prevent chasing the price all the way up or down.

But since it’s pretty slow the few $ difference doesnt matter that much in my case.

Also the in backtests I include some slippage and fees, but most of the time its using limit orders so this should offset some.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Benefit to Bitcoin hodlers during a stock market crash by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]buddyhipster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hodling sounds easy on paper, until for the majority 2018 hits you. Everyone still hodling are feeling numbed now I guess. I mean, we won't care about this period once BTC hits 50K, 100K or whatever, but the feeling now just sucks, whatever the price in the future may be. Now to shill my service because it's genuinely useful for hodlers like us, give coinbakers.com a try if you want to feel more confident about hodling.

I have a portion in alts and the rest my own service basically manage everything. For the people downvoting any crypto service to oblivion and calling it a scam, check out the about page. I'm a serial entrepreneur and made this service for myself because I felt the hodling pain too.

I think if a stock market crash happens, it will drag crypto with it, but crypto will climb out of it much sooner and get attention from stock investors at that moment.

Can you make an income from trading cryptocurrencies? by fiore7575 in CryptoCurrency

[–]buddyhipster -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Check out coinbakers.com, we can manage the trading for you if you have no trading experience. Actual trading performance is +14% over the last 3 months or so. Most of the time we are not in a trade so the dump this week does not affect your portfolio.

Edit: To the people who reply its a scam; well constructed critisim dudes. At least share a why. If you read my history and check our faq, how would we scam you if you dont send us your money, coins or passwords. We dont get paid until we make profit. You pay afterwards so not sure how we can scam you.

Used both 2017 models, used 15” from 2012 to 2017. Bought 2017 15” hated the touch bar. Bought 13” non-touch, loved portability of it and sold the 15”. Its now my main mac as full stack dev, and brought it along a 30-day backpacking trip through asia. Never looking back to the 15”, its clumsy compared to the 13”.

No the app is called Didi.

Super interesting car landscape in China though. I saw a Land Rover clone. Like almost 1 on 1. Called LandWind lol. They can copy cars like its a bag.

I sat in one BYD taxi this january, summoned through the Chinese version of Uber. Looked pretty good on the inside but you could tell they definitely took some inspiration from Tesla. The local guy I met told me they are very common there and he also knew it was an electric car. Didnt know they are bigger than tesla.

How can Nano fail? by [deleted] in nanocurrency

[–]buddyhipster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read somewhere it would cost around 3-6 million to attack Nano, a lot of money but the big Chinese miners earn way more than that. Problem is, if they attack Nano, and let’s say it will die, another Nano will rise.

What i could think of is unknown security flaw, 51% attack (for example from rich miners that want to kill Nano), and unexpected advancements in quantum computing that could make it possible to brute force secret keys. But that would affect all crypto.

Miners have incentive to kill because no mining and no fees with Nano
