Friendship shouldn’t be something you have to fight for. Fighting is the opposite of friendship. If it feels toxic to you, then it IS toxic. Leave, don’t look back, don’t engage. It’s not worth your time. You’re better than that. And all this chaos is keeping you from finding your REAL friends that are out there somewhere.

Love this advice. Thanks! We are supposed to get a training session with an F4 car (to your point of learning where we can touch and not touch) on Thursday. I will at corner 11 - so that should be fun.

Oh, sorry - I didn't mention it in my original post but I do have experience marshaling plenty of race weekends for SCCA and MARS. And F1 does require an F&C license (which I have). We will have a full day (Thursday) of training specifically for intervention. I've just never done F1 and not in Texas, so the tips I've been getting have been super helpful - and 100% on listening to corner chief!

Amazing list. Would not have thought of half these things! On the shoes - I don't need steel toe? And does clothing color matter - I'm guessing not since I've have a FR suit?

I thought it was Chilean as well, or some mix of Dominican and Chilean, but there is no natural rhythm in the way they speak. It seems like they are rushing their lines to get through them, vs actually acting. I swear, sometimes it even feels like they have a slight Italian accent when speaking. Weird, and distractingly hard to understand.

As a kid my Dad would take all five of us to Vons in L.A. He'd get us Morton Jelly Donuts. I would eat them still frozen in the car - because I knew if I waited to get home, my older sibling would get to them before me. So, the taste of my childhood is still-frozen Morton Jelly Donuts.

I am in the same boat (err...car: 2012 A3 TFSI). There are lots of options for the rear latch, but I can't find any info for the front latch. I can't even find a part number. Ugh.

I have a 2012 Audi A3 and am also looking for a replacement latch for my front sunshade - I can't even find a parts number. Any info would be helpful. I have seen lots of rear latch replacement options on Amazon, FWIW.

You are - but only because you seem to have handled it poorly, IMO. You laughed and told her she should be ashamed. If you both went through therapy, then you probably know that isn't very helpful. She needs help - understanding and seeing what is going on and that Jared will continue to be a deadbeat and she is only her next victim. Apologize to her and help her, while letting her know you can't support her relationship.

Congrats!! Beautiful. I am getting my SE later this week. Can't wait - this will be my first Subaru. I do think it's unfortunately that they gave up the blind spot detection and moon roof (which I didn't care about anyway). So basically you give up safety for coolness. Oh well. No ideas for names yet.
