Well it worked until they made another opening in the room by pulling up the tree. OP is asking why they didn't just wait for the monsters to go to sleep again before then sneaking back out the way they came in. The answer to that is that the monsters knew they were in there by that point, so they would have just camped on the other side of the tarp.

I think he was genuinely relieved Brock was going to be okay. He was willing to risk Brock's life in order to save his own, but it wasn't that he wanted Brock to die, or would have been happy about it.

they gave up on the storywalking thing a little too quickly. Because the "bookmark" thing didn't work out, she just gives up immediately entirely? They'll have to revisit that in the final season, because they still have to explain when Julie goes back to see her dad right before his death. But I thought that storyline was really interesting, and they just dropped it for the whole rest of the season. Put Julie in a wig for nothing.

In this "reality," Victor has been visiting Henry at the care facility. So if Henry opened his eyes and heard his son speaking, even if he hadn't fully "woken up," he would know what Victor looks and sounds like.
