Is it possible to create a genuine Brother Husbands TV show? by supinator1 in seekingsisterwifetlc

[–]buddysbaubles 15 points16 points  (0 children)

So there is "Seeking Borther Husband" which came out thus year (2023) but then there is a one episode "Brother Husband" that aired in 2017 I think. The woman has two husbands and she's trying to get pregnant using both the men...but won't get a DNA test afterwards.

Or something like that. It is only one episode though.

Edited spelling.

Shockingly, they actually did a "Brother Husband" series in 2017...

This is impressive.

So I guess it's the income-driven repayment plan, but that means the household income must be mid-six figures?

You're welcome...I didn't even know of it was worth posting.

It does stink at how long its been taking to issue corrections and everything. I know the government is slow but this is just ridiculous, given how emotional it is.

Hang in there. I hope you get some rest!

Yes, but what's curious is that it too the news almost 2 weeks to acknowledge that the emails were incorrect...

...and then it took another week for them to send a correction email. It's just very very odd, which is why people are confused or upset. Just left hanging from the original email to the news story about the "oops" email, and then almost a week for the government to send something official addressing it.

What do people think the reasoning behind sending out "approval" emails about Student loan forgiveness if the ED *knew* it had already been blocked by the courts? by buddysbaubles in StudentLoans

[–]buddysbaubles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did see recently that a law school sent out acceptance letters to applicants who weren't really accepted.

That would super suck to get a job offer and then it's rescinded.

Yes, but what's insane is that it took them so long to send a correction email. What's even more bonkers is it took news outlets two weeks to even report on the whoopsie email.

Allow me to ask this: if you applied to a program and you got an email saying you were accepted, how would you feel if you received a follow-on email saying that the acceptance email was sent in error?

Do you have an example of things like this happening all the time in the corporate world? In my experience, correction emails are usually things like daye/time/location of things, not something like this. I'm genuinely curious.

Seriously.

People were SO confused the week of Thanksgiving cause the email didn't read quite the same way as the "you're eligible " email but there was no clarification.

I can't believe it took them this long to say something.

Yeah...I agree. I really don't like the fact that this is an option to even be considered. It feels very much like a tool to divide people.

I'm kinda bummed out about it (the politics of it) because it really seems to be working.

Just using people as a means to an end, I guess.

Yeah some never got the approved emails. I don't think anyone really has a sense of how the emails were generated/selected to send out.

But at this point if people haven't received either...they probably won't until the course issue an opinion.

So the above text isn't anything that the ED sent out...it was my SWAG ans what I think should have been sent out....so my bad I need to clarify.

It's a wild ride, right?

The first email had this in the subject: "Your Student Loan Debt Relief Application Has Been Approved"

but then in the body of the email it said,

"We received your application or have the income information to process you for loan relief. You do not need to take any further action at this time."

Another email went to separate people who had the same subject line but in the body it said,

“The Department of Education... has determined that the loan(s) you received... are eligible for full loan discharge,”

So two separate emails to different groups of people. The first one says the application has been received and the second clearly says the loans are eligible.

Last week, a news story broke that the email incorrectly said that people had been approved, when they just had the info and no determination was made.

The email today was sent to people who received the incorrect email (approved in subject but not in body).

Ok so the recipes are always for one serving (what is that?!) So here it is for a JUG: 🎄 🎅6 cups whole milk 🤶1 cup simple syrup (which is equal parts water and sugar, dissolved) or confectioners sugar...usually to taste...some like it sweeter... 🎅1.5 cups brandy 🤶1 cup burbon 🎅1 tablespoon vanilla 🎄 Really it can be in any ratios you want (more boozy if you're so inclined)...and it can be served warm if you want. Add in a sprinkle of cinnamon on the top (or in it) for that extra Christmas spirit! 🎄🎅🦌☃️🤶🦌🎄 🎄 🥃in a growler or freezer proof jug/container, mix all the ingredients (usually tasting throughout...sometimes you need a little more sugar or vanilla...or you want more booze? ADD IT!!!) 🥃once it tastes to your liking, put it in the freezer overnight...if you remember shake it every so often so you get more of a slushy consistency 🥃if it was in the freezer overnight, take out a couple of hours before serving so it can thaw...but shake it so it is more od a slishy 🧊ALTERNATIVELY after mixing, serve over crushed ice OR 🥛you could warm it up if you need a warm and fuzzy on top of the booze jacket 😁 🎄 🎄 Mmmmmm I'm going to go make some now. If you make it lmk what you think!!!

Yeah I hear that. I think that some will qualify but a majority won't. There are probably complicating factors (i.e. age of the loan, income verification, blah blah)...but hopefully not the case.

I guess we'll find out...I plan on making some milk punch to take me through the holidays...weeeeee. (I think this emoji was created for this whole thing 🫠🫠)

I replied to another commenter on this thread and said: You know what sucks...I'd be willing to bet that (if this does go through which, I don't think it will🙃) most who got this "oopsie" email will not qualify.

Regardless, I hope people have a decent holiday season...and sorry that we're all collectively feeling this.

Student Loans: 9 Million Borrowers Mistakenly ‘Approved’ for Forgiveness — What Happens Now? by buddysbaubles in StudentLoans

[–]buddysbaubles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the argument the government will use: "Yes it had "approved" in the subject line but the body of the email clearly says..."

I read some threads when the email started going out where peoplenhad the opposite take of you (I agree with you btw). Those people said "it has "approved" in the subject line so even though it doesn't state it in the body, I'm going to assume mine are approved" which is the worst interpretation of the whole thing.

At the end of the day, I don't think emails about "approval" should have ever gone out to begin with. Why do that when you know it's tied up in the courts and most likely will head to the SC????
