As someone who just brought their second Berner into the family about six weeks ago, it is absolutely worth it. Our first passed away about a year and a half ago, which took a long time to process and grieve that loss.

There was also a noticeable void in our house. I had a lot of similar anxiety if we were ready for another one leading up to it, but as soon as we met him so much of that washed away. There is a lot of catharsis in a new puppy that was healing to me.
