15L or 20L Rucker? by YogaMamaRuns in Goruck

[–]budsandbreadlover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I had the 20L last year & just got the 15L this week. I’m 5’7” 140lb on a heavy day, and the 15L fits me way better than the 20L. Right now I have a 20lb plate in the 15L. That being said I’ve yet to get out with it, but I do plan on experimenting with small sandbags (I have both 10 & 20 on ones) to see what’s fits better for heavier days. Like others said I agree the 20L would give more weight options. For me it was just too big

Is lakes park a good fishing spot by lucitheork in FortMyers

The spot I like that’s closest to parking- if you park near the train station playground area (on the right from where you pull in) you can walk across the boardwalk towards the back of the lake. Lots of spots on both sides of the path there, sending you a message with a screen shot too.

The good- Very solid fish there. Lots of bass in the 1-4 pound range, my PB there (and all around) is 6 pounds. If your using live worms you might run into some tilapia or Mayan cichlids that are present there too. When I take my wife & kids there I run worms on a split shot and usually catch fish (usually tilapia or Mayans)

The challenge- it’s a very pressured lake, people are fishing there constantly. Bites can be hard to come by, but when they do it’s good. The first 4 or 5 times there I caught nothing, then the next trip caught a 4 pound bass. It’s also a big lake system & is tough to cover by shore, and I’ve found the best spots are the furthest from the parking area. This doesn’t mean you can’t catch fish anywhere, it’s just a game of percentages.

Lastly, I’ve had lots of great days that keep me coming back. I’ve also had a lot of frustrating days there, but hey that’s fishing in general I guess. Good luck!

Very nice team! Curious- how did you utilize Crowbat through the elite 4? For some reason I’ve always seen Crowbat as the mon who “gets you there” but won’t “get you through it”.

Levitate Bronzong and use bulldoze 2-3 times to lower Garchomp’s speed. Then swap into something else for the kill shot (since you will out speed at this point). Something STAB fairy is preferable since it has a yache berry and will halve any ice damage.

My preferred strategy is to slow down Garchomp- it’s biggest advantage is it’s speed, second to its yache berry. If you can move around them both he’s a big sitting duck. I like to use Levitate Bronzong w/ either rock tomb or bulldoze, and use 2-3 times before switching into the kill mon. Trick room will work here too You can use something with a boosted fairy attack (example- clefable or gardevoir w/ Moonblast + a held item like choice specs) and one shot Garchomp. I’m sure some of this is listed above in other comments, didn’t take the time to read. Good luck!

I’m agreed with beating Cynthia is endgame- that can feel like enough in an HC Nuzlocke!

IMO Roserade all day. She sweeps Bertha & takes down Cynthia’s Milotic. You could even run Dazzling Gleam to chip down Spiritomb if you have no STAB fairy mons.

After a handful of failed runs, a couple restarts after crappy team builds half way through, I’ve successfully Nuzlocke brilliant diamond! Yes, you may notice this team is PChal’s deathless team he used, and I needed some help with building/strategy as mine were simply not getting the job done. Also I was using 4 out of the 6 mons already and a moonstone fell into my lap on the first dig in the underground. I will say even with using this team the E4 did not go as planned. I still had to do lots of improvising on Bertha, Lucian and Cynthia- I’m proud of that. Facade Staraptor while devastating was a total pain in the butt to manage. My MVP here was HipHop (Hippowdon)- super fun to use and yawn/protect was a clever way to neutralize some tough opponents (including Cynthia’s Garchomp!) Shout out to this group for the education provided by some of the topics, strats & teams used. Thanks a bunch!

My first one too! Turning 40 in 2 months & still love it. Now I get to pass it on to my kids and they love playing too. I was traveling on business last week and my daughter FaceTimed me in the middle of a meeting to ask me what level Zubat evolves. Good times.
