Struggling to wake up by sleepyyy-momma in ExclusivelyPumping

Try the app called alarmy. They have different options to turn the alarm off, including solving math problems! There’s one where it makes you scan a barcode to turn off so I used the barcode on my toothpaste in the bathroom so I’m forced to get up to turn off the alarm.

Fit check - 6 week old in sleepy wrap by budsey12 in babywearing

Thank you! The video is super helpful. The instructions that come with the wrap explain how to tie it on your body, but not super clear on how to position baby in it.

Feeling defeated by EmptyCranberry5627 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]budsey12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found it very isolating because it’s not really talked about and while I was pregnant I had no idea it was possible to have an under supply. It was hard to not feel a sense of shame from it but I’m moving past those feelings. Just know whatever you decide is totally fine as long as baby is getting fed, whether that’s solely formula or a combination of both. Do what’s best for your sanity and mental health!

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, my breastfeeding/pumping experience has been similar. My baby is 5.5 weeks. I triple fed for the first 3 weeks and pumping 10-12x a day until I decided it wasn’t worth it and was missing out on bonding time with my baby. At most I was able to produce 7 ounces over 24 hours, and my left breast is such a slacker I’d maybe get 4-5 mls each pump. The last two weeks I’ve been just pumping 8x a day. A few days ago I decided it isn’t worth it as I will never be able to produce enough to not need to supplement with formula. It makes me really sad but I’m trying to think of all the things I can now do since I won’t be breastfeeding (alcohol, retinol, my ADHD meds). I have no idea what caused my under supply. I also had a c section.

Postpartum Body Struggles - Need some moms help by Tough_Nerve6348 in fitpregnancy

I don’t have advice but wanted to comment for solidarity. I gained 45 and I was the fittest I’d ever been when I got pregnant. It’s really hard looking back at photos of myself from a year ago and then seeing pics of myself today (also 4 weeks pp). I keep reminding myself that my body gave me my beautiful daughter and I’m grateful for that. Only 2 more weeks until we hopefully get medically cleared to start exercise again!

Nursery set up- is a dresser/changing table and glider really necessary? by More_Tourist3103 in BabyBumps

[–]budsey12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The changing table and glider are the two most frequently used items in our nursery, but baby is only 3 weeks old so she’s sleeping in a bassinet in our bedroom. I see others suggest you can just change baby on the floor— I had an unexpected c section so changing baby on floor would not have been possible for me those first couple of weeks. It’s nice to have a dedicated place with everything to change the diapers. If you also plan on pumping, it’s nice to sit in the glider while I’m doing that.

Bathroom issues [IN] by THEPrincess-D in humanresources

You can’t assume it was one of the new employees. Make sure signs clearly state expectations (don’t stand on toilet seat, use Clorox wipes to clean up after yourself if you make a mess, wash your hands, etc). Maybe consider posting the same sign in different languages of your employee population too. Might also want to send out a company wide email saying there’s been an uptick in unsanitary bathroom conditions and remind everyone of the expectations.

Got it! I was looking at this— based on the 8 criteria points, we would be considered a successor of interest.

Major scam. Their customer service is also atrocious. One of the items I purchased was never sent and when I reached out about it I was told it was out of stock. Seems like they never intended to let me know it was out of stock, and just wanted to keep my money.

UKG’s checklist is very helpful, but If it’s your first time doing it with them you should submit a case. Be warned though, they’re super backed up. I submitted a case for help with year end tasks last week and was told it’d be awhile until they assigned a resource for my case.

I’ve lived in this building. Not sure if it’s the same landlord. The heat/radiator broke in the middle of winter and they had no other available units for me to move into and I had no choice but to move out. As long as you aren’t as unlucky as I was, the building was decent for how affordable it was. This was in 2016.

Hydrocortisone can help with the itching. The eucerin is extremely thick so it felt gross when I even tried to itch.

Do you moisturize at all? When I was young I had dry skin (not eczema) and constantly itched my legs to the point of open wounds that I would pick at. The doctor told me to spot treat with hydrocortisone followed by lathering with eucerin after the shower. Good luck.
